Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Oh man marathon on saturday!  Goals for the week-not get my underwear all in a bunch form pre-race nerves.  I am trying to decide how many miles to run before the marathon I am thinking anywhere between 1 and 100 we will just see how I feel.  I think again I will just treat this as a training run because it worked out so well last time;-)

Ran when the kids were in school, did the temple loop easy.  Felt fairly well just the nervousness in the tummy.  Ran smooth on the ups as well as the downs they felt really easy.

Ran with Sasha and Jeff, Hyrum was there for the first 1.5.  We did a short warm up and then a 2 mile tempo followed by easy running.  6:29, 6:19(this is what my garmin said atlhough Jeff said it was more like a 6:23 but it beeped after the 4 triangles).  Felt pretty good.

Ran alittle further than I was going to, I ran down to my husbands job to open it for him thinking I would get 5 but nope I ended up with 6 and even had to walk to not get any more than that.  Ran super easy.

Just a nice short run to calm the nerves.  Feel pretty good, very excited for tomorrow.  I am going to race as best as my training will allow, but be patient the first 18.

So the positives in this race was I PRed big time over last years time (14 min) I didn't slow down as much as I did last year (I did struggle the last 3 big time though.  I actually new I was not going to have that great of a race at about mile 6 my vision was going all blurry/wavey at this point and it was allready hot.  I thought at this point I would have to pull out because I was light headed, I was so mad because my leg felt great.  I took some power aid to see if it was my blood sugar and about 3 miles later my vision was clear again and never did that again.  I am happy with my time but not happy at the same time.  I know I should have been faster, but with the way I felt and the heat this is what I ended up with.

I started the race with Michelle, MacK, and Cal.  Michelle was gone within 20 seconds and I took a pit stop at mile one and cought back up with Cal and MacK with in a half mile.  MacK had to stop and stretch her calves and didn't see her again until about mile 7.  So I ran with Cal until about 10 and then he left me.  The first 8 or so felt super comfortable, only had my vision problem.  Then the roller I really felt like I ran them smart.  Got to 18 and I just couldn't push the down hill like I wanted IT WAS SURVIVAL.  I finished feeling sick and like I was going to pass out and felt like that for about an hour.  I feel fine now, leg are not sore I feel like I ran an easy 20 miler which upsets me.  I wanted my leg to be trashed.  But what do you do.
