Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Made it 18 miles, haven't done that in a long, long time.  I knew going in I was not going to feel that great.  I had a super emotional draining day yesterday and my anxiety level was high plus my baby didn't want to sleep last night.  But I needed to get'er done.  Met at Melody's house at the crack of dawn, she had to be home by 8 a.m. and we headed towards the canyon.  We started with our 1st mile really easy a 9:08 and then were in the mid 8 range going up the canyon and mid 7's coming down.  Took a gu at 9 and around 14.  I really struggled at the end and was so tired in my diaphragm and stomach.  I felt this starting out, which was odd.  I really wanted to stop at 14 and be done but Melody kept me going.  Went down and iced in the canal after.  Despite feeling like total crap I still am happy with the end result.

You had a great final product for that run! That is one of my favorite things about running. We push, and push and our friends and craziness carries us through what we think we may not be able to do - then we are done and pat ourselves on the back for getting it all done despite everything working against us! Nice job Josse!!

I really had no idea you wanted to stop at 14. It's my fault we had to stop extra long at Timp Park... Thanks for being so accomodating to my schedule. I would not have done it without you. I had a great time. Here's to Saturday afternoon naps!
