If you want to clean yourself out and have multiple poop stops then drink beet juice before a run. I have heard all these great things about beet juice and endurance athletes so I had to try. Had about 8 oz well I felt great on the run and felt like I could have gone 10 more miles it was a total bowel cleanse at the same time. Next time I will try the beet shots they are suppose to be less harsh on the bowels. Anyway drove up to the start of the marathon and warmed up 1.5 then did some tempo stuff mine was broken up because of the bathroom stops but got some solid MP mile (will put then in later) and finished the last 3.5 at a good pace. Iced in the river.
6:36, 6:34, 6:42, 6:46, 6:48, 6:59 (stopped at the end of this mile and shedded jacket and gloves plus fueled) 7:48 potty stop and start of the rolling hills, 7:10, 6:52, 7:29 potty stop, 7:12, 7:06, 7:20, 7:12, then a break and last 3 miles 7:04, 7:02, 6:53, 6:57 last .5
