Short-Term Running Goals: See what my 40's bring next year
Get my grove back Long-Term Running Goals: Run a sub 3 hour marathon and have a blast doing it.
Have fun and enjoy the process Personal: I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue. Love to run and be outside. I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible. Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it! |

Selpt in because I still didn't feel great. Took my son later in the jogger started at will and ran up 4 miles and back. Knees felt fine. I saw the chiropractor today and told him what happened wearing the gait correction straps and he said that happens with some people and to work into them more slowly. I wore it on my right for 1 mile and on my left for .70 of a mile. So we will see how my knee so with that. He also told me I need orthotics, I have had orthotics in the past and never liked them so we will see how convinsing he is, he did do a foot scan and showed me.

Ran with Cheryl around 9:30. We did trails-started at the water towers and went up the stairway up to where you can look out over the canyon and ran up there. Was absoultly beautiful the clouds cleared up and the sun came out, it was all misty and just looked awsome. Can feel the sickness moving to my chest, really didn't think I would run because I was coughing so bad last night and my chest hurt but I actually felt better after and I am not coughing as bad, hardly at all.

| I didn't get up and do my usual rec center thing because my cold is still hurting my chest at nights and I am coughing alot at night, but I feel fine when I run. Ran the carterville loop with my son in the jogger. Didn't take my GPS this was a good thing. I just enjoyed the fall weather, I wish it would last forever well untill summer. I am looking forward to not running with the jogger tomorrow. | Comments(1) |

So I am on the stake sports commity and they asked me to put a team together for this 5k, so I did. I had no idea what to expect with a 5k because it had been so long scence I have ran one (I think the last time was cross county at UVSC in 2001) MY only goal was to not hurt myself. The course was true to cross country style, on grass, which made me nervous because of my ankle but it did fine. The course was long 3.25. My team won as well.
1-6:57 was worried I started to fast and would die in the end, chicked some guys
2-7:08 felt good, chicked some more guys
3-7:04 felt ok, chicked one more guy
.25-1:42 (6:46)
A good start.
