I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

I feel really good today no soreness form yesterday, I am stiff in my back but that is normal for me.  This is a good sign .  I am really pleased with my preformance yesterday,  the pace was comfortable, I was able to do surges without any sort of pain,  I didn't hurt myself,  my pace if the course was correct would have given me around a 21:45 5k, and I actually liked running a 5k (surprising, maybe I'll run more of these races).

My goals for next week are to run 40-45 miles, do about 10-12 cross training miles,  and keep up the streching.  I really worked on my streching last week and my hip are finally opening up (I do it when I watch tv at night after the kid are in bed, 30-45 mins.)  I also am trying this new suplement called Zrii, at first I was taking an ounce and really didn't notice a differance.  I upped the dose to the recommened 3 ounces before I run and it seems to make me feel really great, but we will see long term.

Ran with the N. Orem group this morning, it was good to see the old faces again.  We did the hilly Lindon loop and then I added on 2 at the end.  Legs felt ok, not sore but alittel tired.

55 mins. on the spin bike this morning, didn't swim because I forgot set my alarm and didn't wake up until 6 am so I didn't have time for that.  I will run later with my son.

Mid morning, sun was warm and felt wonderful.  Started at wills and went up the path 3.5 and back.  Just went really easy, no pushing myself on the way back.  Had my son in the jogger.

Ran with Cherly and Debbie on the trails.  Was a great morning, felt great as well.  We did the same as last wed. just went a little bit farther before we turned around.  Showed the girls some good stretches after so we all stretched for about 20 mins.

My plan for today was to meet up with Michelle and Jamie this morning and do some of their workout with them, but my husband had to work early this morning so I was left to do the workout myself.

I started at wills and ran  up the jogging path 5 miles (just past canyon glenn) did this in 39:38.  Then turned around and ran back keeping the pace right around a 7 min.  Felt really good.  My splits are as follows-

slight up grade 8:01, 7:56, 7:50 (headwind), 7:56 (headwind), 7:56(headwind, turn around slight down grade, 7:15, 6:58, 6:55, 7:05, 7:06 total time 1:15:04 for 10.01 a 7:30 avg. pace.

Then I ran 1 more mile as a cool down and stretched for 20 mins.  Felt really good about my workout.

Ran with the Spanish fork group today,  Michelle, Tom, and Amber were there.  Started with Amber feeling alittle tired but worked into a good pace.  Ran into a good friend around mile 7.5 and ran with him until the end,  picked up the pace quite a bit with him.  Was a great run.

I have decided that my marathon pace for Ogden Marathon is going to be 7-7:30.
