Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Joining you girl. 2011 I ran long runs at 10:35 pace and ran a 3:09 at Utah Valley. But then for St. George I overtrained running fast all the time. Burn out. I am a believer in 80/20. St. George this year was my down year, I didn't feel even close to ready to race a subthree so I did the 20/80 approach to it...after mile 18 I slowed it down ha ha and ran easy. I haven't even run or exercised since St George because of burnout mentally and physically. However I figured I would be back ready to run easy and put in some therapeutic trail running. Oddly I had a big flare of achilles tendinitis four days after St George. Went to Dr. Got the HLA B27 test for Ankylosing spondilitis...which came back POSITIVE. Wow...finally what I thought was the problem all the time with the fatigue, SI pains, all over joint pains after 20 miles (intense not mild) without my celebrex which my prescription ran out a few months back and it is EXPENSIVE so I didn't renew. Anyway perhaps you struggle with AS as well? The 80/20 running way should help us heal along with a diet rich in nutrients :D. Go FIGHT WIN!! :D

I was tested for the AS marker because it runs in my family and I was negative. I am so on board with this 80/20 thing, I love the book.
