Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Went to the gym and did 30 mins on the elliptical and then pool ran for 50 mins.  I figured out how to get your legs to burn in the pool.  You act like you are sprinting as you push backwards with your arms (like you are pushing into a wall but with action).   This makes it twice as hard to make yourself go forward.  This made my leg burn as if I where doing sprints, I have never felt that pool running.  It was great.

You'll have to show me that move sometime. It sounds a little like your ab rocker in the water move you were telling me about... You know, the one that I would be embarrassed to be seen with you doing. You and the old folks... but they're so cute!

Thanks for that, I'm always looking for ways to make pool running more effective.

Oh my goodness I have never had that kind of work out in the pool unless I am swimming laps. It was great to get that burn. My sister says I probably looked like a dork. But I don't care because I am the biggest dork around;)

And that's what we love about you!!

Dorks rule! So you push backwards with your arms as if you were sort-of doing the backstroke, or as if you were running backwards?

I have so much admiration for you gals, staying so active during pregnancy! It must be so hard!

Lucia-with your legs you are doing a biking/running motion, just like when you pool run. with your arms you push out in front of you so you are working against yourself (kind of like pushing into a wall with movement instead of swinging your arms to the side). You have to work twice as hard with your legs to even go forward. It is kind of hard to explain hopefully that give you a better picture.
