Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Met Michelle at will's pit stop to do some tempo miles.  We ran 2 miles up to the mouth of the canyon for a warm up and started into a two mile tempo.  We did these running one up the canyon and one down the canyon with a 2 minute break.  I was not feeling great for the workout.  first set stayed with Michelle with a 7:08 & 7:01, I didn't feel good.  the second set I didn't stay with Michelle and was thinking I should be able to be she is a great runner and the uphill mile was hard for me did these in 7:47 & 7:10.  The next set I just ran easy on the up and turned before Michelle got to me and pushed the mile with her for a 6:40.  Felt better on this but it was down the canyon.

I can always count on you to put your heart into a workout and you didn't disappoint. Thanks for doing the workout with me. (I am eating pineapple for a snack, and being good).

I see a lot of people write threshold miles down. What exactly are they? Good run Josse. Even when its tough you are still getting out there. Hope you are sleeping better.

threshold runs of 5 to 20 minutes at a pace just a little slower than your 10-K racing pace. Threshold pace is roughly equivalent to what exercise physiologists call “lactate threshold,” or the point at which your muscles start fatiguing at a rapid rate. Running at or near lactate threshold is believed to raise your lactate threshold, which should allow you to run faster in the future.
