Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Man I am tired!  My son is still sick, he felt better yesterday and then he spiked another fever last night and was up a lot.  I got up and ran because I knew he wasn't going to school today.  I was tired, I ran really easy with my dog.

Took my son to the dr. he has strep, glad it wasn't the swine flu:)

"really easy"? Is that 7 minute miles for you Josse? :)

Sorry your son is sick, I hope he gets better soon!

I hope you get some rest and that your son gets better soon! Way to pound out the miles in spite of it all.

No it was more like a 9 min mile. I was dragging.

I love your profile picture! I am a quilter too. And I have to say I really like your Where the Wild Things are quilt...How creative. I may have to take some of my favorite childrens books and turn them into quilts! Are you really good at drawing? or did you trace and blow up the picturess?

Josse start taking in some probiotics and being a nurse, wash your hands like crazy. I don't want you sick!!! Get some Zzzzs when you can. Keep running easy thru this mommy!! PS did you run a negative split at Ogden? I am thinking of my strategy for Saturday. Any more advice will be gratefully accepted.

Phew... I am glad it wasn't the swine flu either! Scary!! Glad you got him into the Dr. Hope he gets better soon!! Nice job getting out there to run. That always helps me deal with sick kids better!!

April I am a good at drawing, but I did blow up the pics and trace (saves on a lot of time) them but all the shading was done with tread by hand and machine.

Thanks Julie and Kellie.

Julie I ran the first half in a 1:35ish and ended up with a 3:17 so no it wasn't a neg. split. I fell apart the last couple of miles.

From JulieC on Thu, May 14, 2009 at 11:17:01 from 65.103.224.252

3:17 is still awesome!! though I would like to not fall apart so I think I will try for 1:40 ish then see if I can go faster. I am more around the lines of a 3:20. Stars aligning would be nice but not going to think too wildly about Ogden. SGM I think is much faster. Have a nice day!!

It was the heat the last two years that slowed me down that much so hope for cool temps:)

From JulieC on Thu, May 14, 2009 at 11:26:12 from 65.103.224.252

Today I am not running, nor tomorrow. I woke to achiness in my back and legs (just nervous tension, I bet). Just going to vegetate. I think cool temps at least the first few hours are supposed to happen. And a little course diversion due to flooding...interesting. Since I don't know the course (something about going onto Washington Blvd instead over under it) it shouldn't matter to me. I am going to go crazy out of my mind waiting to run...I think I will go to Zupas then watch a movie then...read a good book....avoiding housework as much as possible, I always get sucked into that. Not gonna do it : ))
