1st place overall womans in Spanish fork 1/2 marathon, Tristate 1/2 marathon, Death Valley 1/2 marathon, and the Utah Valley marathon (4-12-08)

Run a sub 3 hour marathon and have a blast doing it.

Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

This run was hard for me... Some just are. 3mile wu then 5 mile tempo @6:46 started good then faded big time. It will come not going to read to much into it. Then cooled down. Did this with Marie, Janae, and Melody was way out in front:)

Still dead as a-doornail we went up on the trails but it was so muddy up top and that makes my ankle so sore so we went back down and ran on the Murdock canal.

Today was awesome, going into it I didn't think I was going to feel good. Janae and myself warmed up 4 miles up the canyon and then turned and did 5x1 miles with 2-3 min jogging rest back up the canyon. I felt good and strong the longer I went.  6:16,  6:15, 6:08, 6:15, 6:06. So happy to have a good workout

PM went up to rock canyon and ran over to the Y ran up that beast of a hill and added on some, just under 1800 feet of climbing.

It is Janaes birthday today and she wanted an easy long run in the sunshine:) so of course I was on board! I live this girl and we are just right on point with our running so long run on Friday in the sunshine was great. My legs were tired from the past 2 days but pace was not the focus so it was fine. We did a loop with Marie up the beast and 7.4 miles then I changed my shoes and got some fuel in me and me and Janae did an out and back up the canyon.

I decided now that I'm in my peak training I need to get some faster than tempo stuff in so I met Melody and Julie at the track. I'm racing on sat so I just wanted a small workout 6x400 seemed good. 1:24, 1:26, 1:26, 1:25, 1:23, 1:27 felt good. Was faster on the ones I ran with the girls, they where doing different workouts so on some I would have them and some I would not.

I was going to do an easy 5 miles while cole was in school but he has the stomach flu so today will be nothing, hopefully that will mean fresh legs tomorrow.

This goes down in history as one if my worst feeling half marathons. My quads where cramping at mile 2! I felt like the last miles of a marathon by miles 6, I knew I was in trouble and wanted to stop and be done but I still needed a long run so I gutted it out with a side ache the last 3 miles. I never get side aches! I was sad and disappointed that my body failed me so early on and so bad... But I do know this happens and I do know I am capable of a sub-1:30 right now.  Did  a 2 mile wu and a little over 4 mile CD where my feet cramped the entire time. Looking back my electrolytes were probably way off.

Hiit

I needed a redemption run, this could have been a disaster because I do feel that race but it also could be good because I'm marathon training and the legs are use to doing workouts on tired legs. Melody wanted to do 4xmile downhill and I haven't done these mile repeats in about 6 weeks so I was up for it. We did RC 2x and MTC 2x I felt decent on them, was 6:02, 5:56, 5:49, 5:54 all with about a half mile uphill recovery that didn't feel like much if a recovery! I am happy with this workout:) just in case anyone is wondering Melody was light years ahead of me between 40-50 seconds on each repeat. She was on fire!
