Decided this morning to go do a track workout, i was by myself but I want to start a 5k training cycle that will end sept. 1. I was nervous but thought I need to go over and see if my body will handle the fast stuff. Plan was to do 8x400 at 5k pace (6:16) so a 1:33's with 200 meters rest. I thought this would be easy or at least it should be because I was doing them at 1:20's before i took a break. Warmed up to the MV track 3 miles and then started 1st one my legs were kind of in shock but felt better the more I did. Did 4 and then reversed directions, there was a wind on one side. 1:34, 1:29, 1:27, 1:30, 1:26, 1:23, 1:26, 1:23 felt a lot better on the second 4 than the 1st 4 and felt like I could have done more but didn't want to over do it.
