Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

The siatic was up and down all weekend, but is feeling better.  I went to the rec center and ran 4 miles on the treadmill in 32 mins and then pool ran for 20 mins and swam 4 laps.  Didn't have any pain with the pool running or swimming, last time I did.   I still think I will have to play it by ear for a while.  Came home and did my back and abs.

At least it is moving in the right direction.

What's going on with you, are you getting any better?

good luck with those sciatic issues Josse. i hope you get past it soon. where are you feeling the pains at?

From josse on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 21:30:32

It is in my left periformis and shoots down my left leg when it is flared up. Kind of like the picture on your blog.

I'm also moving in the right direction. Still have some knee pain. I'm on an aggressive NSAID regimen and it seems to be helping. I'm also just focusing on stretching more. A few miles at a time is all I can do. Sorry about the periformis for you. I had that in the fall of '06 and it was a pain in the .... It went away though relatively quickly and before I knew it I was up and running again. The knee thing has been much more difficult. Less pain than the periformis but more persistant and not as easy to pinpoint.
