Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Took my dog up on the snow filled trails.  It was slow going esp. when the show got to my mid calf area.  It was fun though my dog loves the snow and it doesn't seem to slow him down at all.  It slowed me from a 9 min avg pace last monday to a 10:30 avg. pace.  But I really don't care cause its all for fun.  I saw a hunter, that was weird.

It must be beautiful up there, but man it was 2 degrees in the valley-- how cold must it have been in the canyon? About the hunter.... I probably got you all weirded out. I'm 100% paranoid all the time no matter where I run and I'm always packin' heat (at least a million SHU). Let me know and I'll bring you a can of pepper spray myself. Anyway, thanks for the info on Boston. The story about your friend made Catherine feel better. I also think, like you, she has big plans for 2010 that don't include running. So she feels it's a cosmic message :)

Believe it or not it was colder on friday. The hunter was friendly enough, but I am always freaked out when I come upon someone carrying a gun. I think he was a fireman though. His truck had the fireman symbol on it.

It was the wind chill friday, I'm sure. A few weeks ago, I was running at the very, very end of the river trail down by the lake with my headlamp when very suddenly a guy carrying a rifle appeared out of now where (ok not no where, it was dark so I couldn't see him until he was in my light. He was obvoiously hunting pheasants down at the reserve, but for a split second it totally freaked me out. I kept turning around to shine the light his way to see if he was aiming at me. I've seen him two or three times now in the light leaving the reserve, but yeah, a guy with a gun out in the middle of marshlands/mountains kinda gets your heart racing.
