Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Short report-Happy with a pr still not feeling the freshest but better so I will take it.  Stuck with my plan of starting out alittle easier and then cranking it down.

My game plan and goal for today was to start out at an easier avg. pace then I would end up with and to stay storger at the end.  I think I did pretty well at that.  Warmed up with Marci and Michelle at the start and stretched.  Ran the fisrt little bit with Bruce and Melanie, Bruce backed down after 2 miles and Mel went ahead about mile 5 so I was on my own.   Started the race not really feeling fresh, middle felt alittle better but not great and end was hard but was determind to finish better than Provo half.  Splits by miles markers

1-6:40 Good start just what I wanted

2-6:17

3-6:22

4-6:12

5-6:24

6-6:27  Feeling pretty good with this but know the work begins.  Took my gu at 6.5

7-6:45

8-6:05 I think this mile was short,  on the path with the rollers.

9-6:49

10-6:54

11-6:59  feeling the wheels coming off, but digging deep to finish strong.  This mile starts with that leg killer hill. uggg

12-6:53

13-7:02 darn wanted all sub-7's

.1-.46

All in all I am happy with today.  Ankle is sore, kind of wonder if I am getting some tendonitis in it.  Hope it ok.

Wow! Awesome time and even when you were not feeling so hot! I am so happy that you beat your Provo time, I remember how unhappy you were with that. I was thinking of you at the start and sent good vibes your way.

Great job Josse! You are learning the toughest part of racing (imo) - staying tough in the second half. You deserved a great race and you raced it today!

Great job on the race today. Thanks for the comment on my race. You sound a lot happier today than 2 weeks ago. You train hard and deserved the time that you got today. How are you related to Jack T? I am in the Icelandic Assoc with him.. He is an awesome person.
