Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Got up early to get in a couple miles before I met the girls.  Julie was the only one who showed so we ran fairly easy up the canyon and picked it up on the way back to sub-8 pace but nothing hard.  We were both tired.

Then instead of crosstraining I took my dog  up on the trails for a really easy 4 miles.  Was nice and cool in the mountains.

Man, look at those Tuesday miles! I hope it's not wreaking havoc on your life (like it is on mineO to train for SG. I'm about to give up SG after this year. It's too hard with the kids school schedules (I get too stressed out). But man, you've really ramped it up and will be ready to rock next month! I've been meaning to ask you what your advice is on pre/post massaging--or when to get one. I had a huge back issue last week, had a girl do some really deep tissue massage in my glue/piriformis area--it absolutley undid my lower back pain--but then it was kind of hard to run for a few days (like I had to rebuild muscle mass). When do you suggest massages in relation to running performance?

The more massage you get the more you can handle running after. But this is normal, I got my legs worked on yesterday and had a hard time starting out this morning. As for massage before you race I would do it at least 4-5 days before to insure proper recovery and at least a week if you need some serious work.

Nice miles today, Josse.
