Run a sub 3 hour marathon and have a blast doing it.

Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Took the dog out for a run, it was nice to run outside and it didn't seem to bother me.  Went for 2 miles and then walk for another half.  then I came home and did the elliptical for 40 mins followed by abs/back.

50 mins  on the elliptical at home followed be some good stretching.  Feeling pretty good, although I am needing  a lot of sleep, I think I got about 10 hours last night.

Went to the gym and did 2.75 on the treadmill, felt pretty good.  Then did 25 mins on the elliptical and pool ran for 25 then swam 6 laps.

Went to the gym and did 15 mins on the elliptical and 1.5 miles on the TM felt good I wish I could have ran longer.  It was actually comfortable to run at an 8 min pace.  Lately I am lucky to feel good at a 9 min pace.  Then I pool ran for 35 mins.

Went to the gym and did 40 mins on the elliptical and 1.8 on the tm.  Felt pretty good tightness in the hammy and adductor but feeling better.  Did weights upper/lower abs/back.

Went to the gym and did 3 miles on the treadmill, 30 mins on the elliptical, and 30 mins of pool running.  Felt pretty good, no sciatic pain just tight medial hamstring and adductor but getting better.

Did the elliptical at home and then took my dog out for a little run.  Adductor and hammy was buggy:( so I didn't go as long as I would have liked.  I swear I can't catch a break!

Went to the gym and did 30 mins on the elliptical and then pool ran for 50 mins.  I figured out how to get your legs to burn in the pool.  You act like you are sprinting as you push backwards with your arms (like you are pushing into a wall but with action).   This makes it twice as hard to make yourself go forward.  This made my leg burn as if I where doing sprints, I have never felt that pool running.  It was great.

Went to the gym and did the elliptical for 35 mins. alternating between sprints and backwards.  Then I ran for 2 miles legs felt good but sore from the massage I got last night.  Then I pool ran for 35 mins doing sprints.   Arms are more tired, yesterday on the elliptical I used weights and the different way of pool running is a workout for the arms as well.  Good day.

I went out in the cold, wind, and snow.  It was great!  I just ran really easy but it felt good to go outside.  Then I came home for 30 mins on the elliptical.

Did 40 mins on the elliptical at home, did not feel good at first.  I couldn't go hard at all but after about 25 mins I felt better.  Still just went easy.

I am almost 10 weeks and have gained about 3 pounds.   Not to bad, I was reading last night about other women and their weight gain and most had gained about 10 pds. by 10 weeks.

Today was my day to teach the neighborhood preschool so I didn't get to the gym just did the elliptical at home for 40 mins.  Then did weights upper and abs/back.

I used my workout time for a nap today.  I only got 3 hours of sleep and that just doesn't cut it when you are growing a baby.

Started at home and did the elliptical today then went to the gym and pool ran for 45 mins doing sprints.  Lifted lower and abs/back.

I think that I will not run for the rest of the week seeing how I haven't yet and I am leaving to Colorado tomorrow so I won't get any in tomorrow.  Maybe this will help me finally get over the injuries.  They feel great when I don't run.  I do miss it, but the only thing I really care about is that I get some sort of exercise in and I am able to do that so I shouldn't complain.  I could complain about other stuff but I won't:)

Went to a wedding in Colorado this weekend.  I started to cramp and bleed on sat.  I went to the Dr. today and  they could not find a heartbeat so I got an ultrasound and some blood tests.  The ultrasound showed the baby at 6 weeks 3 days so either the baby died then or I am no as far along as I thought I was.  I will take another blood test in 2 days to see if my levels are going up or down.  So I am not very up to working out, just trying to stay positive, which I am having a hard time doing.  Oh such is life.  It has to all come at once, when it rains it pours.

I wanted to take advantage of this beautiful weather so I took my dog up in the trails.  They were pretty muddy but I had a great time.  Good food for my soul, just what I need.  I ran about 3.5 and hiked about 1.5.

Did the elliptical for 40 mins and then took my son in the jogger for 2 miles and walked .5 

Still feel stuff in the hamstring grrrr.  I am seeing Dr. Brady soon, I really want to run it makes me feel better. 

Went to Dr. Brady and he worked the hamstring and adductor real good.

Went to the gym and did 30 mins on the elliptical hard.  Pool ran for 30 mins and swam some laps.  Abs/back

My midwife called last night and told me it was a miscarry, so I will be starting over trying after a couple month break.  I am doing fine, I figure there was a reason for it.

Did the elliptical at home pushed it hard for 45 mins.  It felt good, my hamstring is feeling good.  Will test it out next week with running to see if I want to train for anything this year or just bag it.
