Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Went to bed way to late, those dang Olypmics.  Got up at 5:45 and was tired, but went out any way.  Felt alright I guess, sometimes it felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest.  I miss those days when almost every run felt good.  There is something about the end of summer and just being tired.  OH well, such is life.  Went out and back 9 by myself and then 2 with the dog.

I stayed up until 11 watching them, but then "slept in" until 6:15. I stopped watching after the third gymnastics rotation when it was apparent that we were getting silver. I think the judges were harsher on the US on the uneven bars and the beam. What do you think?

From josse on Wed, Aug 13, 2008 at 11:10:47

I always think the judge in the Olympics is unfair. I think money is involved. I stay up and watch the Chinese even know I knew the same thing you did. I should have just gone to bed.

I think the judging may have been a bit harsh, but those Chinese girls were pretty darn good and a couple of big mistakes really cost the US.

I am with you two on the staying up and the judging. What is up with the floor routine? Did every American step out every time? Someone should measure the square. I guess it is easier to stay in if your half the height of the rest of the field.

Well, lets see them stay with either of you on the trails of UT county! Only one judge, the clock.

I passed out and missed all the excitement. The chinese were DARN good though on the uneven bars. It just breaks my heart when they slip up. I just about cried when the US was on the beam :(

Oh yeah- nice run Josse :)

Yes, I do agree that the Chinese did an excellent job on the floor and the US went out of bounds to much. That one girl really buckeled under the pressure.

I think the US was way to excited on the floor and as a result they went out of bounds. But I still wonder sometimes about the judging and not just with gymnastics, the other events as well. I would hate to have that job.
