Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Started out with an easy run outside, I think I was being over excited when I thought I would be able to run 20 miles this week.  Then I went to the rec and did 4 miles on the elliptical/36 mins and 20 mins on the bike.  Leg are sore from lifting yesterday.

Patience Josse patience.

Wait- I'm confused... you said you were being optimistic about getting in 20 miles this week and you already have over 20...? I'm sorry about the frustrating run in w/ Dad yesterday. Hang in there!!

From josse on Wed, Dec 05, 2007 at 15:07:38

Most of the miles are cross training miles not running.

Nice picture. I think you are incredibly patient..and talented!

From James on Wed, Dec 05, 2007 at 19:06:11

I was going to say we need a picture of the new and improved Josse. Hey, what is up with that 3.47000123456 mile junk? Sasha and Cody are a bad influence on some of you and your mileage recording. You should either run run a few more feet or just say 3.5 miles. I will call you on it from now on, so shape missy!

From MichelleL on Wed, Dec 05, 2007 at 19:21:33

I would like to speak in defense of the hundredth mile differentiation. Every hundredth of a mile represents steps taken, as such deserves its own recognition ;)

From josse on Wed, Dec 05, 2007 at 19:32:13

Sorry my chest was just to sore to make it to the 3.5, and I just don't really give a hoot anyway. I agree with Michelle.

From josse on Wed, Dec 05, 2007 at 21:15:57

This is right before the imporvments. All though I don't really think it needs improvement.

From James on Wed, Dec 05, 2007 at 23:39:18

I agree with the picture part, it is a good picture and no "improvement" was necesarry in my book. However there has never and will never be a good enough excuse, in my opinion, to record mileage like the 3.470018967341417 stuff that seems so popular on the blog. If I run 3.9 miles I would say 4 miles, if I run 3.6 miles I would say 3.5 miles, and that is rounding the tenth. You ladies can do whatever makes you happy, but it is so funny and nit picky that I will always give you a hard time about it.

From josse on Thu, Dec 06, 2007 at 00:42:08

When I logged by paper I always rounded, I don't think it really matters. Just that you are out their running in the wee hours of the morning and driving ourselves into the ground as much as we can, and loving every ounce of it. Happy running;)

From Benn on Thu, Dec 06, 2007 at 07:13:29

Great job on the run and just give it time. It will all come together :-D I agree that determination to get up and go running in the wee hours of the morning deserve some pats on the back! And if you round, just make sure that you don't round by like half a mile, and that its consistent, so if you round up one day, make sure to round down the next day. I think that's what James is saying?

From Benn on Thu, Dec 06, 2007 at 07:14:18

Although you ladies usually run far more mileage than me so I don't think that rounding even matters ;). Dress warm! It's 12 degrees here at 7am today brrrrrrrr!
