Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

My back was sore after yesterday's run, really discouraging, but I knew I should have just stuck with only  6 miles.  I decided to just bike today with the help of the weather.  I love that I am not training for anything right now because I don't feel like I need to go run in a  blizzard.

Queen Josse, good time of year for you and your subjects to get healthy. Dog runs are fun. My dog loves running in the snow. Read back only a couple of days, the back problems?

Ya my back has been bugging me scence early sept. but got bad after the marathon. I am wondering if there is something more wrong, like tendonitis or a stress fracture. I wish I could or would have just taken more time off after the marathon. Crazy fanatic I guess. But I just can't run more than a couple of miles with out it hurting or flaring back up.

way to rub it in with the blizzard comment :/

Hey so what's your treatment plan? Are you going to do a bone scan soon if you don't have any improvement? It doesn't seem like you are getting better, and I want you to :)

From josse on Wed, Nov 05, 2008 at 17:42:47

I think so, it seems to feel fine if I just don't run that much and keep on top of treating it. But it is just taking it's time with it. I am seeing Dr. Brady again on Fri and see after that.

maybe its a dumb question, but do you run with your dog on a leash, and if so, does it pull you at all? that can really throw off your running form...

From josse on Wed, Nov 05, 2008 at 19:02:35

Cal- when I am on the trails I don't use a leash and when I am on the road and have him on the leash he runs right behind me. My pain is differant than the normal SI joint problem, although I am having that as well. The pain is kind of a deep acheyness, I can't tell if it is bone or attachments. But when I work all the sacral attachments, front, back, top and bottom it really helps.
