Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

This half was by far the hardest half i have ever done with about 75% of it being uphill lots and lots of up and not a lot of water stops.  But the weather was beautiful and the wind was not a huge factor only noticed it in a couple of places with a slight breeze most of the race.  But sunny and warm almost to warm.  I didn't register for this race because I am at my max for race registrations this year but wanted to go run a good long run with McKenzie and Aubrey.  Met them early and ran 5.3 to warm up at an 8:30 avg, got Ericka along the way.  I really didn't know what to expect but I am really trying to work on racing without the garmin, while I had it on I only had my overall time on and I made myself not look at the splits.  Just ran off feel and I felt really good.  Ran most of the race with Mac and thought we pushed each other well.  I am really excited about this race because it was so hard and I felt like I raced well.

Obviously you were not done at 9 miles but had some great miles ahead of you! Nicely done. Where is this race?

Congrats! Great time on a really tough course. Way to stick to it and finish strong.

Josse (with a long O!), it was so nice to see you again after all these years! You are still as fast as ever and made it all look easy. On that super steep climb when I felt like I was going to puke, I looked down at my Garmin and it said my pace was 10:50. 10:50!! It was all I could do not to laugh at myself.

MichelleL, the race starts and finishes in Saratoga, but the rest of it is in the Ranches part of Eagle Mountain.

Thanks for the kind words, this was a huge confidence boost for me and got me over some metal challenges. Looking forward to this year:)

Very, very impressed Josse! Just to put into perspective how fit you are right now...I ran this race last year in ~1:38. It is hard and you held it together and finished strong. Congratulations!

Great job Josse! I know this course isn't easy at all. Super proud of you!
