Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

marathon #25

3rd marathon of the Grand Slam under my belt, my goals for today were to not dig myself in a hole for SG, run off feel and have fun.  I can say it I did just that.  While I didn't feel all that great in the race I did feel better than last weekend and I really enjoyed this marathon.  It is hard but so beautiful and with several miles on dirt, it saved my legs.

Stay up in PC with Ericka, Mac, and Aubs we had a hootin hollerin time. lots of giggles you would think we where all 16.  Anyways sleep well and woke up at 5 ate and got ready, out the door my 6 and their by 6:15 quick bathroom time and then it was time to go.  Rebecca and Holly meet us at the start to run with us.  Didn't feel that good in the beginning and was lagging behind but once we hit the dirt my legs came alive and i took off.  Stopped and walked water stops to make sure I got plenty of water, had a potty stop and at one point when we got off the dirt stopped and waited for the group.  Felt good on the path going all the way up to the ski resort but after that it got hot and I would go through good and not so good spells.  Felt good from 20-25 and then I just wanted to be done.   Mr superhero cape man pulled me through to the end, we ran together a lot of the marathon. Was pleased with my time, I felt like I could comfortably run between a 3:20 and 3:30.

Gosh, you're in great shape. I'm excited to see how things shape up for you the rest of the season. So are you still in the thick of the slam even though you had to miss one?

I can't compete in the slam but I can complete it, which is what I'm doing. Just SG left, hoping for a extra fabulous day for the both of us:) sub-3 baby!

Nice job Josse. This course is definitely easier on the body although the lungs get some extra work. Good luck with the rest of you build up to SGM.

I bet it feels great to get that one out of the way. I'm excited to see how st george pans out. Hopefully it's a cool day, in all respects.
