Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

I am so mad!  I thought that my garmin just didn't get pluged in properly but it won't charge.  I just read about someone elses doing the same thing and he said it would be 90 bucks to fix it.  Man it is only a year old and it is the second garmin I have had.  And you pay up the wazoo for them, and I love using them.  I just don't know what to do.  I think if you are going to pay that mcuh for something it should last longer than a year!!!!!  I am really begining to not like the Garmin company and there lack of testing their product before it goes public. GRRRRRRRRRRRR

Anyway ran with Michell in SF we did our riverbottoms loop.  Great run, usually thurs. are my though and tired days but I felt great.  Added on another mile after I dropped Michelle off.

pace 7:58 don't remember the time.

progrid(56.7)

*Good news I contacted Garmin and they had me hold the mode and lap button at the same time for 5 seconds and then let go.  Then I pushed the power button and it works.  HURRAY!  I guess the units can get locked up every so often.

The Garmin company has been great to me. They replaced mine without me even providing a receipt. I bet if you call them up and send it in for repair and ask for it to be covered they might cut you a deal or just get it done for you. Especially since you have had two and it sounds like each one only lasted for just over a year.

I do agree that they are willing to work with you. It just stinks.

That bites about your Garmin. I can feel your pain.

So are you sending it in for repair?

From MichelleL on Thu, May 29, 2008 at 10:36:39

You'll just have to run with me more so you can get your splits :)

From josse on Thu, May 29, 2008 at 10:53:58

Ya I probably will send it in becuase I just can't live without it.

Michelle-move by me and you have a deal:)

I bet they will still honor the warranty if it's barely a year old.

Very nice! So glad you got it to work.

Good news about the Garmin! Mine has been causing me trouble since I fell on the concrete three months ago and kind of smashed it up. I'm going to try your trick.

From wheakory on Thu, May 29, 2008 at 21:03:42

I'm sorry I should have told you to do this because I've had to do that twice. I thought your Garmin was having a different problem by the way you describe it.

From Scott Zincone on Thu, May 29, 2008 at 21:15:47

I am like Kory, similar thing happened to mine once, but I thought your may be really broke or something.

Glad it is fixed.
