Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

This week I will cut the miles for Hobblecreek to 55-60.  Leg feel great after sat. run.

Got up and ran an easy down to the path and back 9 then took the dog for a mile.  Felt really good,  starting to  feel like I can run again and not dragging all the time.

Nothing like running on beat up legs (got a massage last night), pushing a 40 pound kid in a jogger into the wind in the heat to make you feel tired.  But I got er done.

Had a pretty good workout today.  I went by myself when the kids where in school and the heat did get to me alittle in the end but I am happy I was able to do what I had planned.  Did 3x1miles on the rock canyon mile, has a quater flat then a quater downhill then a quater flat and ends with downhill.  Warmed up 2.5 miles and then started-1-6:02 recovery .57 uphill back to the start. 2-6:05 w/ .55 recovery 3-6:11 wanted to get faster with each one but was getting hot and I was getting tired.  Finished up with really easy running back to my car.

Took my son in the jogger up the canyon.  My left ankle feels like it is out and is sore.  Going to get it put back in this afternoon.  Started feeling yucky yesterday in the stomack and still not feeling the best, diaphram feels like it is in my throat so it feels hard to breath.  Tried pulling it down myself and is super sore.  I think I will have the doc look at that as well.

Went to Dr. Brady's partner yesterday to get my ankles put back in.  He worked the left one really good and it hurt like nothing other.  But he got both of them back in and they feel better, although the left one is sore from him working on it.  But it didn't interfere with running.  Got up and did my easy 5 mile loop and then took the dog for a mile.

Short report-Happy with a pr still not feeling the freshest but better so I will take it.  Stuck with my plan of starting out alittle easier and then cranking it down.

My game plan and goal for today was to start out at an easier avg. pace then I would end up with and to stay storger at the end.  I think I did pretty well at that.  Warmed up with Marci and Michelle at the start and stretched.  Ran the fisrt little bit with Bruce and Melanie, Bruce backed down after 2 miles and Mel went ahead about mile 5 so I was on my own.   Started the race not really feeling fresh, middle felt alittle better but not great and end was hard but was determind to finish better than Provo half.  Splits by miles markers

1-6:40 Good start just what I wanted

2-6:17

3-6:22

4-6:12

5-6:24

6-6:27  Feeling pretty good with this but know the work begins.  Took my gu at 6.5

7-6:45

8-6:05 I think this mile was short,  on the path with the rollers.

9-6:49

10-6:54

11-6:59  feeling the wheels coming off, but digging deep to finish strong.  This mile starts with that leg killer hill. uggg

12-6:53

13-7:02 darn wanted all sub-7's

.1-.46

All in all I am happy with today.  Ankle is sore, kind of wonder if I am getting some tendonitis in it.  Hope it ok.
