Personal:

I am married with 2 lovely children (13 and 5) and one due Sept. 14 and a dog named Brune.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.    My personal blog- http://quiltsbyjosse.blogspot.com/

You can't become a winner overnight, or even in a couple of years-it takes time.... You will lose races and you will have to accept that, learn from it and believe that you'll win the next one, knowing that you'll probably lose as well.  All the time you have to keep believing that one day you will win. -Paula Radcliffe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWB2ofa8NZU&feature=related  a good inspirational watch, reminds you that you have to go through lots of heartache and failure to get successes.

Bryce Canyon half on saturday, not planning on tapering because I have one more building week before a recovery week.  So I will do 75-80 miles.  I will front load the begining of the week with higher mileage so I still can take friday eaiser.  Hope to break 1:30 in the half, it's been awhile.

Got up early and ran by myself.  Had to be back early so I didn't go as far as I planned, so if I have time I will go out later.  Right ankle alittle sore, it was sore after the run on sat. so I iced and scraped it.  I didn't feel it until the end of the run but I will watch it closely.  Ran fairly easy and felt fairly well considering the workout on sat.

Ran with Sasha and Jeff this morining.  Not much to report, did the first 10 with both then dropped Sasha off and added 2 more with Jeff.  Ankle feels better, still there but better.

Got really aggressive with the scraping the ankle yesterday, didn't really feel it today:)  I have been really tired this week, need more sleep but it is just not happening.  This really affects my running so I need to try to get some more.

Got up and drove to will's and ran 2.5 before Luv came then we headed up the canyon 5 turned around for a 2 mile tempo.  Luz did much better than last week I got her going a 7:19 and 7:35, way to improve Luz.  Then we ran easy back to Will's.  Nice recovery run.  Then I came home and took my son, he was riding his scooter around the neighborhood for a mile.

Met Michelle at Hobble creek with the intenstion of doing our tempo thingy.  Michelle didn't what to becuase of some pains she is having so we just ran easy.  We went 1 mile up the canyon then turned and ran into Mapleton.  Very wind on the way back.

Ok starting out I knew I was not going to feel fresh and I didn't.  I was tired from the get go and was wondering at first if I wanted to finish this thing.  My legs had no go to them, I was throwing up that acidy stuff into my mouth and mentally wasn't to into it.  But I decided to hang in and make it a good workout.  I definatlly was a good workout and a good pracitice on mentall tuffness.

My stepdad drove my mom, sister and myself to the start from Panguitche, got there and warmed up with the boys.  Then I saw Marcie right before the start.  We started together but she blasted out at the start and my legs didn't want to do that.  So I settled into 3rd place, where I stayed the whole race.  You start with a flat kind of up hill first 2 miles and then you have about 5 miles of screamin downhill, that completely trashes your legs.  Then you go through rollers untill the end.  Tough course on tired legs.

Cooled down with Marcie and alittle more by myself.  Over all I am happy that I was able to pull off a 3rd place finish and a 1:30 feeling the way I did.  Can't  complain about winning 300$.   I also PR by 5 mins form the last time I did this race.  Legs are more sore than after both spring marathons.  Did some hiking through Bryce canyon later that day.
