Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Went out after the kids went to school.  Did an out and back form my house, started feeling tired but after a couple of miles felt good.  I am getting to that point were I just want to do lots of miles and I feel good.  I love when running feels good even when you are tired.  I am not doing a long taper so will hit it hard again this week.

Josse, Good workout, it is nice when workouts feel good! How many miles are you thinking this week since your not doing a "long taper"? When will you start your taper, and what will your taper be like as far as miles/workouts go?

I've really been wondering about how many miles this week and then what my taper should/will look like.

Jon- you have to do a taper that works for your body. I will probably do about 65-70 miles this week with 2 hard/fast workouts one being on saturday. I seem to do better with a short taper and since my training only started at the end of July I don't feel the need or want to taper. Next week I will probably do around 60 miles again with 2 hard/fast workouts. And then play it by ear marathon week. But remember you have to do what works for you.
