Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

My birthing story- Cole Logan Tobiasson on Aug. 29.  He was 7lb 11 oz. 20 in.

Heather my midwife started a natural induction starting at 5 p.m. (I had had 8 hours of labor 2 day earlier and was already dilated to a 3).  After about an hour of mild birthing waves me and Wade went for a walk to get things moving, I did some jogging on the grass too.  After about an hours of this I was dilated to a 4 so I stuck a breast pump on to try and get them to last a little longer.   I did this and watch Princess Bride, this got me going to a 5  and then she broke my water at 9:00 p.m.  Wade went and got some Carls Jr. and I ate a chicken sandwich.   At this point my birthing wave got really strong and I went into hypnobabies mode.  I was able to stay calm and under control using hypnobabies, all though I still felt some level of pain, but my mind wouldn't let me go there and I was able to relax and stay calm.  I got into the tub a little after 10 p.m. and was having birthing wave on top of birthing wave, but still using hypnobabies and some sort of moaning to keep calm and under control.  I quickly started to feel pushy but thought there was no way I have dialated enough to push.  But after Heather said I sounded pushy and checked me and sure enough I was ready, this was around 10:48 p.m.  After 1 big push and about 4 smaller one Cole was born in the tub at 10:56 p.m.  It was harder for me keep my light switch turned to the center for pushing but still felt like it went way better than my last one.  I was so happy with my birthing experience even know it was not completely pain free.  Hypnobabies helped my mind and body stay calm and aloud my birth and pushing to be short and to the point.  I would use it again as well as Heather and the birthing center if I were to do this again, kind of sad I'm not.
