Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Happy 4th of July, this is my favorite holiday.  But I know remeber why I stopped doing this race many years ago.  It is a crappy race-uphill start and uphill finish and then you get to weave your way through all the 5k walkers and strollers.  As you can tell I didn't have a very great race.  But they all can't be great, can they!  Started the race by getting stopped up by a baracade they must have forgotten to move, I didn't see it because of all the people and ran into the guys in front of me.  Then you turn up 9th east for the killer uphill.  This last for about a mile or so then you have some good down.  Then you turn onto unv. ave. for some flat miles then on the center for some more uphill all the way to the end about the last 2 miles.  I gave up here, to many people to weave through.  I know excuses excuses... I am mad I wasn't more in the game.

5-7:19 to many people having to go out and around strollers and lines of walkers.  Frusterated and mad.

6-7:45 can NOT get my legs to go on this uphill grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

It is an akward race course--hard to be in and find a spot in the croud in general. Last year a kid tripped my running partner. He was running wildly at the start to get in front. She was so surprized, she didn't even put out her hands and fell right on her chin. I forgot about the uphill start, it sucks. But even if you hated this race-- you looked awesome out there! You can always tell when someone is really good at something becasue they make it look so easy. It was nice to bump into you and meet your daughter too! Happy 4th anyway...At least it's a good day for watermelon!

Josse, I am with you on races. I love the walkers, but, many have no race sense, side by side, in the way. By the way, your still close to 7s on a tough course, hot day. I would take one of your crappy races anyday. Your still Queen Josse, cannot keep a good Queen down.

I'm with Brent- I'll gladly take one of your bad races ;) Your amazing!!! Hey next time, take a megaphone and sing, "get out of my way, step in time, here I come, step in time, gonna run you down, step in time..."

Next year come run the 4th with the Payson Canyon Fox Club. You'd for sure win :) And the prize is that loosers get to buy breakfast for you at One Man Band!

I've never been a fan of the inner provo races like this one. Unless you're next to the river, you almost always have to put in the hills along 9th east because you can't really close off any other roads. I like them for training but they're not too good for fast race times.

It is a tough race! I did it a couple years ago and starting out uphill wears ya out right away. If it makes you feel better I think I ran it in around 46-47 min. Have a good 4th!

Sounds like a yucky course. You're still superwoman in my book- I think you rocked it!
