Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

As we age our goal change and things seem different. I am 40 now and while I would love to run fast it just has not been in my cards to do so. So I’ve just done what I can do. I’ve been running 4x a week, biking 2-3x a week and swimming 2x a week along with doing Pilates & strength. I decided to Jump into this triathlon. I loved the Olympic distance it was perfect! The swim was not my best, sun was in my eyes and my wetsuit was not on properly so I felt like I was being choked but I made it through. The bike was awesome and went faster than I expected avg over 18 miles an hour.  The run was good I passed the entire way and felt good. I finished feeling good and had a great time.

Swim 34:30

T1 2:54

Bike 1:26:17

T2 1:21

Run 52:12

Nice job, Josse. Wet suit not on properly. I don't know why I think that's funny. I've never wore one.

Don't know if you're still around, but good job on your tri.

I can definitely relate to getting older and life changing, too.

Happy New Year and hope you're doing well.
