Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 21, 13, and 7 and a dog named Koda.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running.

Easy run on the Murdock C with Janae and Amanda. Warm this morning with a light rain on the way back. I wish we could have a winter like this. Rain with mild temps and lots of snow in the mountains. Then I can train for Boston and the skiers can have their snow:)

Met with Marie and ran 5 with her then I went and did a workout, I felt tired from my period I'm sure. Did 2 mile tempo on flat and then an 800 and 2x400 and was just struggling so I decided to be done. Times 6:38, 6:39, 3:06, 1:32, 1:31. Track was the hardest I am not use to the 6 min pace. I love to be able to run in the day sometimes, it was warm and some sunshine came out towards the end.

Easy miles with Rebecca 8:11 avg pace.I'm kinda disappointed in the hoka Clifton's, while I love the shoe the bottoms have already worn completely down. I think a shoe should at least last 500 miles, I haven't even made it to 400 yet.

this marks the start of my Boston training, 9 weeks of base building, 7 weeks of peak training, and a 2 week taper=18 weeks til Boston. Smart 80/20 training to stay healthy. 1 speeds day, one hill day and a long run with some filler miles and spinning. I will alternate between aided mile repeats, 5mile flat tempo, 800, and a progressive  run hopefully I can do them in the same courses (weather permitting) other wise speed will be in the mill.

Today was one of those hard running days, I wanted a 5 mile tempo @ 6:40-6:50 on a flat course. I ended up with a 4 miles dead legged tempo @ 6:58 avg pace. Geez but I have a starting point and this is just the beginning.

Legs never felt it but had a good time.

this race was actually on Sunday but I wanted the mileage for the previous week. Drove down to Cali on sat 12+ hours with Gauge being car sick and puking about 20 times, poor kids was completely wiped out. My butt and hammy where extremely tight and bothered me the entire race
