Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 21, 13, and 7 and a dog named Koda.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running.

Another beautiful day in the mountains. Fall is sure lasting long, just the way I like it.  Went with my sister up on the trails.  We walked together for 1.5 miles then I ran.  Ended up going 6.3 all together but only 4.5 of running.  Sciatic hurt after the run on saturday so I worked it again and it felt good sun.  Can feel it alittle bit after today, will just keep on top of it.

Sciatic hurt yesterday. I wanted to get up and run but I also didn't want to hurt today.  So I went back to bed, although I didn't sleep well after I went back to bed.  I might do something later but probably just yoga and my back/abs.

Got up and met with Marie for an easy run.  Felt good but scaitic was sore after.  Went to Dr. Brady today, he worked it and watched me run.  He says I am leading with my left hip to much and need to retrain myself to lead with my right and then keeping them in a nuetral position.  Easy to say hard to do, but will really work on it.  

I also did yoga and abs/back

Didn't get a workout in yesterday, was to busy.   Plus the sciatic was super sore from being worked on twice the day before.   Anyways I went to the rec and did 4 miles on the treadmill making sure to lead with with the right hip.  Did 20 mins on the elliptical and pool ran for 30 mins.   Sciatic doesn't feel to bad.

Got up and met with the Orem girls.  They started at Marie's house and met me and Melody at the mouth of Provo canyon.  I brought my dog because it was dark and I was not sure if I would end up alone or not.  I ran with Melody on the way up and then picked it up on the way down.  Focused on leading with that right hip again.  Made sure Brune was on my right side so if he pulled it would not be my left.  This seems to be helping, I can still feel it but it is not as bad.  Came home and did my back/abs and squats.  Then stretched, will do some yoga later.

Went to the rec and ran 4 on the treadmill again focusing on leading with the right, which seems to help.  Then I pool ran for 35 mins and did abs/back as well as legs.

Got up and met with the Orem girls, sciatic was a little buggy and is sore now.   We ran a decent pace, me and Melody backed off in the end.  

Later went to the rec and pool ran for 25 mins. and then swam 4 laps.

Didn't sleep well last night but got up and met the Orem girls.  Didn't feel that great on the run and went short with Marie and Melody, Marie was sick.  Was going to go the the gym but still was feeling gross so took a nap after my daughter went to school.

later-took my son and dog up in the mountains and did a run/walk thing, just ran what my son could handle.  It ended up being about a mile with a total of being 2.5 of run/walking.  

Got my orthotics the other day and have been breaking them in, I like them so far.  They are pretty comfortable.

Haven't been feeling the best.  Went up on the trails with my sister and the dog.  I hike the first 1.6 with my sister and then ran.  Felt good to run.  Back is still off and on but in general feeling better.

Went to the rec center today, we woke up to a winter wonderland today.  I would have gone out and ran in it this morning but I still wasn't feeling that great.   Ran 5 miles on the treadmill and pool ran for 25 mins.  Still feeling that glute max attachment on the left.  But the orthotics feel good.

I went to a PT last night, his name is Marv Roberson.  He said my right SI was locked up causing the pain on the left, which make sence to me.  A lot of injuries cross the body.   Any way he worked on loosening up my hips for about and hour and then popped my right SI/lower lumbar back in.  I think it was the loudest pop I have ever heard.  I feel a hue differance, although I can feel it tightening back up so I think it will take a few times being worked on.  

I met my sister and the rec and we walked around the outdoor track for about 40 mins.  Then I went and pool ran for 40 mins and swam 5 laps.

Went to the rec today and did the elliptical for 20 mins.  then I ran on the treadmill, I wasn't sure how far I was going to go, it would just depend on how the back felt.  Yesterday it was super sore.  But it felt good, I was going to pool run too but I forgot to bring my swimsuit so that blew that plan.   Then I did weights upper and lower and abs/back.

Went to Marv again after the work out and worked on my problem areas.  Wasn't as bad today and he got some good movement out of that right SI and lower lumbar again.

Went to the rec with my sister.  I did 6 miles on the treadmill and pool ran for 20 mins, then I swam 4 laps.   Felt ok, could feel the sciatic at about 5.5 miles but not to bad.

Haven't had the time to get my crosstraining in, kids are out of school.   Went with the Orem girls again for a Christmas eve run.  Road not quite as bad as yesterday.  Still having the left hip/sciatic/whole leg issues, they seem to just move around.

We got an elliptical for Christmas and got it put together today so I used that.  Did 40 mins on it.  Hip is feeling good.

Weights upper and abs/back,  did some stretching.
