Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Gave life to one child on the 29th and had to save the life of  another on the 30th.  First thing first, had Cole Logan Tobiasson on the 29th at 10:56 p.m.  He was 7lb. 11 oz. 21 in.  Had a nice short hypnobabies labor followed by a nice short waterbirth.  Came home around 2:30 that morning.  Sent my kids to school, Jade was fine when I sent her.  When she came home on the bus they told me she was having a hard time.   To make a very long story short, she stopped breathing and I had give her mouth to mouth and was shipped to the hospital via ambulance.  She is doing well know but they still have her their.  She has a plural infution and they are making sure it doesn't get worse.  Baby is doing very well and mommy is very tired.

Holy Moly! I think it took me about 5 minutes to pick my jaw up off the floor after reading this! What a CRAZY 24 hours you had to endure...and are still continuing to now. I'm glad mommy and baby are doing well (a BIG CONGRATS for a super nice short birth and healthy baby and getting home and back at it within the hour :) ). I also hope that your little girl is okay, how scary to have to give your child mouth to mouth! My prayers are with you all!!

Josse--just saw this. How is Jade doing now? Hope she is doing better and home. Here's a link for those who are wondering what she has (I think) http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000086.htm

Josse - I think you were inspired to be home (and also blessed to be able to be home) when most mothers would be relaxing at the hospital. Congratulations to you and Cole. - Julie

Jade is recovering fast and glad to be home, they ruled out the plural effusion my doing a ct scan and are just calling a pneumonia. So glad cause they would have had to put in a chest tube and she would have had to stay a lot longer in the hospital. But know my little guy is got such bad jaundice they are saying he might have to go in. We have him under the lights and will re-test his blood in the morning to see if they are dropping, so hopefully they are or I will have another in the hospital. His # was 20.5 just in case you are wondering.

From JulieC on Sat, Sep 04, 2010 at 15:13:23 from 70.56.109.162

That is HIGH Josse. frequent feedings help too. I am sure you knew that. The level usually peaks at day four of life--so hopefully it will take its turn downward today!!!

Josse, I had no idea what you've been going through. I was hardly on the blog at all last week. I hope Jade is doing better and that Cole is fighting off his jaundice. Nurse baby, nurse! How are you feeling?

From josse on Mon, Sep 06, 2010 at 19:22:35 from 75.220.108.117

I am feeling really good considering. I really think staying in shape during my pregnancy helped me endure this past week. Cole # aren't going down as fast as they would like but they are going down so we are still able to stay at home with the lights. Jade has made almost a full recovery and is out playing with her friend as we speak.

From runningafterbabies on Tue, Sep 07, 2010 at 20:54:45 from 67.177.9.74

I'm so glad she is feeling better. I'm sure Cole will be healthy and pink in no time at all. Hang in there and take lots of naps while BOTH of your big kids are at school. (I'm not jealous or anything :)

Well, I'm a little late here. But know that I was wondering if you had your baby yet or not the other day. Good thing I saw you on the Lost Sheep Board.
