Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

I went out for just an easy run with everything feeling good (foot and sciatic anyway, I was quite sore from the race in the quads) and about 1 mile into the run I got a charly horse in my left calf that brought me to my knees.  I worked it out and stretched it and then continued to run.  Know it is very sore and I am limping on it.  Hopefully this won't take me out for to long or I think I will just scream.

yoga followed by 50 min on the bike and then arms weights and p90x abs.  Calf feeling better, still sore but I am not limping on it.  Not sure if I will run today.   Trying not to get to frustrated, this is supposed to be my hardest training weeks before my taper.  But then again training plans never go to plan and I haven't really planned much out this year.

Got up and ran to test the calf, it felt okay. Decided I would go see Dr. Brady and get some injections. DId that today and it is sore from that, but hopefully it will be gone by the weekend i need a 20 miler.

Went up to the GS camp with Melody, Rebecca, Amanda and Marie.  We ran down the canyon, calf was feeling good before I started I could feel it a bit through the run and is a little sore now after.  Hopefully this is not going to be an issue till the marathon.  Pace was pretty good for the run and we were all chatty through the run as well.

Met Mckenzie, Aubrey, Amber and end of HC half course.  Drove up to about the 3.5 mile mark and ran up 4 and then did the course and added on at the end.  I was really tired through the run but made it and my calf held up.  Now just one more long run and I should be good to go for the marathon, how fast I am not sure, but I will be there and try for a sub 3:20.

2:38:58/7:57  happy with that.

Baby woke me up at 4 and wouldn't go back to sleep so I ended up taking him with me.  Met at Rebecca's house and ran with the girls.  I was a little bit behind them due to pushing the jogger and having tired legs but still had an 8:26 avg. pace.  Split from Marie and her friend and went longer with Rebecca.

Got up way, way to early so I could get home by 6:15 for my husband to leave.  I ran down to center to meet up with the girls and ran with them for a bit then I did a 4 mile marathon tempo back to my house.  Had some good uphill and a little down. 7:11, 8:06 uphill mile, 7:41, 7:33.  got home and my baby was awake and had been for a while, my husband was not happy:(  He has been such a good sleeper lately I haven't worried about him waking up.

Met super early at Rebecca's and her husband drove us girls up to GC again, such a nice guy.  I wanted to do the whole thing at MP which I would like to be 7:15-7:20.  Started easy and worked into a good pace, felt good and was talking the whole run.  Same run as last friday and ran lots better.  Iced after in the river.  7:31, 7:21, 7:15, 7:05, 7:23, 7:22, 7:16, 7:11, 6:54, 7:14.

Started early with Marie, Rebecca, Amber and Marie little Byu buddy.  Marie, becca and kendy were off from the beginning so it was me and Amber.  Went from Vintage to just above the big springs turn off.  Lost Amber on the uphill and then decided to add on further on the up than try to add on at the end.  I am glad I did cause I was tired at 20 and probably would have just been done.  Ran pretty good was a little tired form the tempo on thurs.  but from 15-21 ran in the mid 7 range.  Iced in the river after.

Met Melody and Amber down at vintage to do some speed.  Ran a little before and then headed up the canyon 4.  Turned and did 6x600 @ 5k pace with 200 rest in between.   Paces for them where-5:49 a little fast for me but was staying Melody (the only one I was able to stay with her on), 6:09, 6:10, 6:21, 6:30, 6:15.  Quite enjoyed the shorter intervals.

My only goal for today was to feel good through out the race and that meant I need to start easier than I have been doing in half.  I am happy to report I meet my goal and felt great the whole way.  Started just under a 7 pace and felt like I ran a pretty even effort race,  I felt like I was really holding back the first 5-6 miles.  I did pick it up for a couple miles in the middle but didn't feel like that put me under.  I do wish I would have broken 1:30 but i am happy with my result.  Last time I ran hobble I did a 1:31 and still ran a 3:12 marathon so I really feel a sub 3:20 is doable. warmed up 1 mile

finished with the intention of doing a 2 mile cool down but Marie was feeling really bad and need some support and I needed to get home so not cool down.

Woke up to meet the girls but so did the baby so I feed him and went out on my own after.  Legs are not really that sore, it is funny how starting a race out slower can really save your legs.  Just ran easy.

Meet Melody, Rebecca, and Julie early at TV high to do 3x1600's on the road.  Did the TV mile, the next one and then the mtc mile.  I was having gall bladder pains yesterday and through the night so I didn't feel all that good, but wanted to try to see how I felt.  I didn't feel to bad just tired from not sleeping very much.  Any way did them in 6:09, 6:29, and 6:25.

Ran the Provo river 10 miler, I wasn't registered but got my own ride up there (everyone had to do that).  Rode with my mom, Mckenzie, and Aubery.  I also started before the race did (some of the people registered did that also, it wasn't a very organized race.  He said just go when you want and tell me what time you got when you finish:/)  So me and Aubery took off, she wasn't registered either.  We ran easy on the steep down hill, then she sped  up more than I wanted but could see her most of the way.  I wanted a progressive run where I got faster each mile.  splits were 8:03, 7:30, 7:16, 7:07, 7:03, 7:20, 7:12, 7:10, 7:05, 6:57.  Was happy with this and felt good.

My right foot was really sore after my run on sat (very frustrating) but what would the week before a marathon be without a sudden injury?  I ran an easy 5 with cole in the jogger.  Didn't feel that hot.  I work the foot and calf out really good.

My baby turned 1 today, where does the time go!?
