Didn't get to meet with anyone this morning because I had to be home at 5:50am:(  So I got up super duper early and ran by myself.  Wanted to do 3*1 miles so I did a 2 miles warmup (wasn't enough) and started 1-6:39 mostly flat with a short steep downhill in the middle.  Legs just felt trashed.  2-6:19 Had to work really hard, to hard.  Starts downhill and then has some up and then down ending on flat.  Didn't want to do the last one but I did.  3-6:40 ug! starts flat with a steep short down and then flat.  I hate doing speed by myself on 5 hours of sleep,  legs feeling trashed, and in the dark, but I did it and I am done.  Now I just hope the legs freshen up for racing on friday:)

Pm another 3, 2 barefoot on the grass one on the road.  I took my sister, dog, son and daughter with me.  This was interesting.  On the way home we did a mile loop on the road, my son was on his scooter.  He fell just before we got home and scraped his knee.  He just informed me he thinks he will still be able to walk.  I also wanted to test out to see how fast my daugters electric wheelchair goes so we went down the street to test it on speed 4, it has 5 speeds,  I clocked her going 6:58 and was to tired to go any faster.  This surprised me because her old wheelchair only went around a 10 min mile.  She did not want to test out the top speed.

Happy 4th of July, this is my favorite holiday.  But I know remeber why I stopped doing this race many years ago.  It is a crappy race-uphill start and uphill finish and then you get to weave your way through all the 5k walkers and strollers.  As you can tell I didn't have a very great race.  But they all can't be great, can they!  Started the race by getting stopped up by a baracade they must have forgotten to move, I didn't see it because of all the people and ran into the guys in front of me.  Then you turn up 9th east for the killer uphill.  This last for about a mile or so then you have some good down.  Then you turn onto unv. ave. for some flat miles then on the center for some more uphill all the way to the end about the last 2 miles.  I gave up here, to many people to weave through.  I know excuses excuses... I am mad I wasn't more in the game.

5-7:19 to many people having to go out and around strollers and lines of walkers.  Frusterated and mad.

Met Michelle at Sasha for a pre-warmup before we joined Sasha and Jeff, Matt meet us on the path.  Then we warmed up for a total of 3 miles before we did 6x1600 with a 400 rest.  Sasha talked me into letting him drag me behind.  I was a little aprehensive at first because I wanted a good workout and I was afraid it would feel awkard and put strain on muscle I wan't use to useing.  But it actually felt fine.  I felt like I still got a threshold workout and it really didn't fell like I was being pulled it just made it so I couldn't give up or slow down when I wanted to.   It was kind of funny I was encouraging Sasha to keep up instead of the other way around like it usually is.

So remeber I am being pulled for these-

1-5:47 (rest 3:52) this feels like I am going about a 6:10-6:15 effort.

2-5:51 (3:23)

3-5:50 (4:46)

4-6:01 (3:38) I think both of us are getting alittle tired.

5-5:45 (3:56) We regroup and both work to stay up.

6-5:53  This one was super tuff but I tell Sasha to go, go, go on the last four hundred and we make up some time.

Got up and drove down to Will's pit stop to meet Luz.  Ran around for 15 mins and she didn't show so I took off.  Ran to the 1st drinking foutian up the canyon and turned around.  Just before I got to the mouth the the canyon there was Luz, her husband had taken her keys and so she biked up to Will's and ran to that point so she turned around and joined me.  She was doing a good clip for most of the run.  I got her going 7:46 and 7:51 and then we slowed down the pace to the 8's, she was alittle winded.   Was not sore in the legs from yesterday just a little tired, a little sore in the obliques and intercostals.  Easy run.

Man a tough workout today.  The plan was to warmup 6-7 miles going uphill on Hobble creek course then do the course with every other miles hard starting with mile 2.  Me and Michelle met at the end of the half and drove up to about mile 5.5 or so.  Warmed up to the start of the course and took a potty stop and gu and water.  Then we started with an easy one first splits are as follows

1-7:29

2-6:29

3-7:49

4-6:15

5-7:52

6-7:44 we missed our water we stashed and was way passed the mile marker and so we decided to do another easy and then continue.

7-6:35climb up out of the golf course.

8-7:51

9-6:38 getting tired and have some short steep climbs in this mile.

10-8:42 stop for an other potty break (stomach is really not feeling good 5 time going) and gu/water.  stopped the watch for potty break but not water break.

11-6:44 OH MAN legs are feeling it.

12-8:15

13-6:54 this mile is really tuff, you finish on the grass.

time for the half 1:35:02

Total time for the run-2:41:47

Another potty break and then we cool down for a mile.  Leg didn't feel to bad for a 20 miler just a little tired form the weeks mileage.

Got up and drove to will's and ran 2.5 before Luv came then we headed up the canyon 5 turned around for a 2 mile tempo.  Luz did much better than last week I got her going a 7:19 and 7:35, way to improve Luz.  Then we ran easy back to Will's.  Nice recovery run.  Then I came home and took my son, he was riding his scooter around the neighborhood for a mile.

Ok starting out I knew I was not going to feel fresh and I didn't.  I was tired from the get go and was wondering at first if I wanted to finish this thing.  My legs had no go to them, I was throwing up that acidy stuff into my mouth and mentally wasn't to into it.  But I decided to hang in and make it a good workout.  I definatlly was a good workout and a good pracitice on mentall tuffness.

My stepdad drove my mom, sister and myself to the start from Panguitche, got there and warmed up with the boys.  Then I saw Marcie right before the start.  We started together but she blasted out at the start and my legs didn't want to do that.  So I settled into 3rd place, where I stayed the whole race.  You start with a flat kind of up hill first 2 miles and then you have about 5 miles of screamin downhill, that completely trashes your legs.  Then you go through rollers untill the end.  Tough course on tired legs.

Before I ran Bryce I was going to run des news 10k but had not signed up for it.  After I ran Bryce I didn't want to do the steep down hill that is in Des news.  I really didn't plan on racing at all today, I had no babysitter so I thought it was out of the question.  Then at 10 last night my sister said she would come over and sit in the morning.  I would have like to have done Des news but they don't do same day reg. so I decided to do Speedy sp. 10k.

I really didn't know how I would feel I just thought I wanted a good tempo run.  First 2 I was tired plus they are up hill, then the coarse goes through the SF river bottoms, which is a gradual down with some little rollers.  I think the race went well, I felt better the further I went.  Warmed up with Kent for 1.2 miles

1-7:09  slow start it starts on a norrow street and has some steep up hill.

2-6:41

3-6:33 Starting to feel better and passing lots of people

4-6:42

5-6:51  I always seem to struggle here in races but just want sub 7

6-6:45 regroup and focus for the finish.

Tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, I haven't been this tired in a long time.  I think it was a combanation of 2 races back to back and lack of sleep.  I worked in park city last night and didn't get home until  around midnight (on the way home I saw Brail Veil falls all up in flames, very sad:( ).  I got up at 4:15 to meet Michelle at 5am.  I was dragging the whole run.  I recuruted a new girl to come with us named Merri, she stuck with is for the first 15 and did very well.  I had a very hard time on any uphill we had.  Very tired in my breathing and upper body as well as leg fatigue.  Last couple of miles where a death march  all by myself, until Michelle and Hal came back to run me in.  What nice people I run with.
