Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Didn't get to meet with anyone this morning because I had to be home at 5:50am:(  So I got up super duper early and ran by myself.  Wanted to do 3*1 miles so I did a 2 miles warmup (wasn't enough) and started 1-6:39 mostly flat with a short steep downhill in the middle.  Legs just felt trashed.  2-6:19 Had to work really hard, to hard.  Starts downhill and then has some up and then down ending on flat.  Didn't want to do the last one but I did.  3-6:40 ug! starts flat with a steep short down and then flat.  I hate doing speed by myself on 5 hours of sleep,  legs feeling trashed, and in the dark, but I did it and I am done.  Now I just hope the legs freshen up for racing on friday:)

Good job on the solo run. I hear you about speedwork in the morning...I have decided that I don't watch my pace too much in the morning anymore and use these runs as easy recovery runs, then do speedwork at lunch.

Good luck at your Friday race, what is it? I am doing a local 5K on Friday an maybe a 5M trail run with Jon Allen on Saturday.

On runs that start before 5-6 am, I have trouble doing faster than 7 min (and sometime 8 min) miles. Tough to wake up and get moving. Nice work.

These are hard to pull off alone. Good job sticking to it. This workout will increase your toughness factor.

Thanks for the encouraging words, I was feeling pretty pathetic esp. because they had downhill in them for help. I am blameing it on running just before bed last night and waking at 4 am to run.

Jeff-Me and Michelle are doing the Freedom Festival 10K.

Josse, nice workout, morning speed work, alone, tough chicka.
