met at Rebecca early and ran 1.5 before she came out then we did a loop to the OHS track, I thought we were going to do 400's but Rebecca said she wanted to do the 1200 workout. So we did 4x1200 at 5k pace (6:16). We reversed direction every time so we got about a 500 meter rest in between. times were 4:40, 4:43, 4:45, 4:45 was a little over excited on the first one but settled in. yoga |

| easy 5 in a blizzard with Rebecca 8:28 avg racing a 5k tomorrow and somehow this makes me more nervous than the marathon. maybe because i'm not the best at running in VO2 max but i'll try my hardest and would love somewhere in the ball park of a 19:40 |

So mixed feelings, feel like i did well but not an all out effort. The race ended up being short and an out and back on the provo river trail with a it going up to start and down to finish, which is what i wanted, but it is also part of the trail that has alot of under passes so short but steep up and downs. I just wish i could get myself to race a 5k all out, but I do plan of working on that this summer. We will make a 5ker out of me yet! Anyway warmed up on the course with rebecca 3 miles so we both knew it was going to be short. The race was small and unorganized so started about 15 min late, but that really isn't to bad. splits 1-6:39 2-6:49 this miles was tough you had the 4 underpasses and a hairpin turn in it plus when i went under the bridges i had to yell at people coming the other way to get out of the way. 3-6:39 no time for a cool down had to get home but long run on monday, last one:)

| Met at Rebecca's and warmed up a mile and then did 2 miles at MP on completely flat, for my goal of 3:10 that is a 7:16. My miles were 7:07 and 7:03 felt good, like i was holding back which was a nice feeling after having several days of feeling super sluggish. Then finished up with easy running came home and took a ice bath, i got it cold enough to be shaking:) Leave tomorrow night for Boston. |

| just easy running, ran into melody and ran with her for a bit. Think i will take tomorrow off and run a little on sat. and sun. I am excited/nervous for the marathon, I am pretty confident in my training but have done enough of these to know that is not all that determines how a marathon goes. Just hope the weather cooperates and my back hold up and I should be fine:) |

| Ran by myself down to the finish line and had the pleasure to meet Desiree Davila, I talked to her for a min she was super nice. Felt all the excitement of the finish area and then ran back to my hotel. Drove up to Maine with Ericka, Mckenzie and Rebecca. It was beautiful and and enjoyed it a lot. |

I guess I will put something in here so you all can feel bad for me;) This was one of the most horrible races for me. Knowing that it was going to be hot I didn't have high expectations but still wanted to run well and though I could run and easy 3:30 marathon. Had a fun bus ride up and hung out with Mckenzie, Rebecca, and Melody at the start. It was already in the 70's and getting hotter. I was drinking my prolytes and sitting in the shade all that we could. it came time for all them to leave for wave one and i wanted to cry. Sat there until it was my turn to go to my corral and was herded to the start. i was in the 1st corral which was really cool to start up front, i was standing next to a girl that recognized me from the blog even know she's not on it. Then we were off, my plan was to drink gatorade at every water stop and dump water on me as well, it was already 78 and felt really hot to me. i never felt good side cramps starting at mile 2, by 7 i was so hot despite feeling like I was at a water park and by 10 i wanted to be done. My stomach was just bloating up from drinking and I was so thirsty I had to drink. By 18 it was 87 and I was feeling so bad I started to walk, this was depressing but I made a decision walk or end up in the hospital and i didn't want to end up there. I would go through times of crying, running, walking and just plain weaving but I wanted to finish so I just plugged on till I finished. I am disappointed but do realize it was beyond my control. It is what it is and am happy for my friends that did well because not very many people did. my splits aren't worth putting up.

| Mp. mile@ 7:06 pace felt hard:( Man I need some serious help, I have decided that i need to work on my Mental game and have been reading In pursuit of excellence but failed at it today. Baby step I guess. Ran to the mouth of the canyon where I met julie E and Melanie to do a tempo with them, stayed with them for 3 miles and then just let them go. I don't know why, i just tell myself that it's okay i'm not feeling good. But i need to just stay with them. |
