I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Started today thinking it was going to be an easy 5.  then Ericka told me she might not be here tomorrow so I thought we could make it 8 and do 5 tomorrow then she would get a longer run in.  We went up the canyon with the jogger, it was so nice and warm....love it!

Met Luz up at the parking lot above the soccer  park to run on the trails.  We did the water tower trail, it was just a beautiful morning.  We brought the dogs and they enjoyed themselves as well.  Good times.

Feel nice and rested and ready to train hard for another 3 week cycle.

Got up early and ran the CC loop from my house, it felt and looked like winter.  This loop has some good up hill in it, which I want to start adding to my training.  Ran mostly in the 8:30's except the up hill portions which was in the upper 9's.  After taking the kids to school did pilates legs, ball squats, and lat pull downs.

My plan for this month is to get a little faster on my normal runs and to have my mileage be in the 40's.

Ran with ericka early.  We warmed up to the track and then did 2x200 (44.5 & 44.3), 2x400 (1:36 & ?) , 1x800 (?I think I was around 3:20 but can't remember), then pace ericka for a 400 (1:46) and then 2x200 (43.8 & 45.8).  I messed my watch up so I don't have all my times.  Went to Dr. Brady and got some injections in the left hamstring, still have a lot of tightness in this hammy so will keep getting work on it until it is all better.

P.M. Ericka came over and we did a killer arm workout and ab ripper x, hubby is working late.

My poor dog has to lose 20lbs.  He gained it durning the pregnancy.  I got up and ran 5 miles and then ran Brune 2.2 after the kids went to school.  Then did ball squats, hammy curls on ball and IT band stabilizer plus stretching.

P.M.  Ab ripper X and Biceps and back with hubby.

Who cancels a race due to weather?  I have never had a race cancel, but as I was driving to the 5k this morning I got a text that it was canceled due to the weather.  What it was only a light snow and wasn't even sticking on the roads.  What ever!  I still was going to run, met Ericka down and the park that it was going to be at and we just ran our 13 miles.  Did 10 with Ericka and the last 3 on my own.  Felt pretty good, except I could feel my hammy/sciatic at the end but it does that sometimes so I am not worried.  Came home and did Bi's, Tri's , and shoulders with Ericka and some good stretching.

Kid are off for Spring break so it is early run for the week.  Not fun when your baby is teething and waking up in the night.  I did the CC loop starting out feeling really tired but felt really good as the run went on.

Got up and met with Marie and Rebecca, kind of nervous cause I knew the pace would be faster than I have been running.  But i was able to keep up and even have conversation.  It felt good to run at a faster pace.  We did a random loop and on the way back to Marie's house we ran into Melody and ran with her for a couple of miles.  Came home and did Pilates legs and stretching.

Woke still feeling sick, but better than I did the day before.  I decided I was good to run come evening so I went out.  The weather was perfect and I felt great.  Not expecting this was a plus.  I haven't felt this good for a long, long time, probably before I was pregnant.  It was so awesome.  Lately running in the 9's has been my comfortable pace but for some reason this run felt so easy and effortless, with an avg. pace being 8:11.  I started in with an 8:30 which my usual warm up pace is well over 9's.  I got quicker and quicker as the miles went by with the last few being under 8's.  Wow it felt good to run like that.  I will probably pay for it on tomorrow mornings run but oh well it was worth it.

Met Luz and Ericka at will's and ran up the path easy, when we turned I did a tempo at half marathon pace.  My plan was to do 3 miles,  I did 2 and was wheezy so I caught my breath for 50 seconds and did 2x800 to total 3 miles.  Did 7:09 and 7:16 for the 2 mile and 3:38 and 3:30 for the 800.  Was happy about that and then easy the rest.  Did ab ripper x.

I feel like my legs and mind has found the next gear, all my runs this week were under 9's.

Had every intension of running early, woke up at 5:30 but so did my baby.  Nursed him thinking he would fall back asleep but did not.  So I cleaned so I could nap and run later.  Took him in the jogger and ran with Ericka, Brune joining for the 1st 2 miles.  It was lighlty raining more like misting when we started and got worse as the run went on.   As soon as we stepped in my house it started to down pore.  Luckily i have a nice jogger with top shield so my baby was warm and dry.

I woke up early again to run and again so did my baby, but Ericka was coming over so I just took the baby with us.  Luckily it had stopped raining and the wind died down after I told it to.  Did the CC loop pushing the jogger on the uphills was a killer.

Went out with Ericka, Brune and the baby for 3 miles, the wind was so bad we called it good and then did p90x abs.  Hopefully will get some more miles later.

P.M. went out with Melody for a 4 mile loop from her house.   Still very windy but much better not pushing the jogger.

Ran early this morning.  Went early to get some miles in before because I would at the most be able to run 5 with the girls, I had to be home a little early.  I ran 2 and then went to met Rebecca and Marie but it didn't look like they were coming out.  I ran around for another 10 mins. and Rebecca came out so we ran a 4.5 mile loop.  Stretched

Decided to do a 5k to see were I am at.  Warmed up with Ericka 4.5 it was snowing, then Melody joined for some and then Michelle made and we ran some more because the race was going to start much later than we thought.  I got 6.5 miles in before the race (9:08).  The race was completely flat and had a lot of turns.   Michelle paced me and I had told her I would like to hold between 7-7:15's  she is always an awesome pacer, she keeps me focused even when I don't want to.  The race started and we had a bunch of kids go out and die pretty quick leaving just a couple of kid which we ended up passing though the race, Melody and 2 other moms.  We all ran together until about 2.5 and they were just a little bit stronger and beat me by a bit.  Yes even Melody 8 weeks postpartum.

1-6:59

2-6:55

3-6:56  Was starting to really feel it as was glad Michelle was there to pull me through.

.2-1:08  the coarse was long

Finished 4th with no guys in front of us.

Was very happy with this being under a 7 mins pace:)
