Got up early and did an easy run with Luz and the dogs. They just love running on the path and getting into the river, makes for a stinky dog though. Came home and did 25 mins. on the bike. 8:50 pace went to the gym and lifted upper and lower, abs/back

I made it 10 whole miles today. Met in SF and ran with Allie and McKenzie. Good run, was a little tired and struggled on any little up hill that came along. It was snowing most of the run, but the great company kept my mind off it most of the time. 8:22 avg pace came home and did abs/back and stretched really good. Could feel that left SI/sciatic but feels better after stretching.

| Had a good run today. Started at Will's and ran up towards the canyon, decided to do some sort of tempo on the way down. Wasn't sure how this would work (haven't done anything fast for about 6 months). I started kind of half hearted but after the first mile I thought Hey I can do this. The plan was to do a 3 mile tempo at about 7:30's. This is what happened- warmed up for 3 miles 1- 7:21 2- 7:01 3- 6:58 Felt pretty good but was tired when I finished, cooled down for a mile. Then went to the gym and lifted lower/upper and abs/back. |

| Decided to do my long run today, I am flying out tomorrow to Hawaii:) Started at Will's and went up to Bridal Vail falls and back. Felt good, low back a little sore but nothing to worry about. Was tired after 9.5 but still managed to stay under 8's till the end. 1:38:11/8:11 |

| Oh it is absolute paradise here in Hawaii, we are staying at the J.W. Marriott Ihilani, it is super nice and has a beautiful view of the ocean. We have our own little private beach and a short 1.3 mile path that runs along the beach in front of the hotel. I ran on that and extended further on the road and looped back on the path again. Very nice weather ran in shorts and tank at 6:30 am. Then went to the gym they have here (this is the nicest gym I have ever seen at a hotel) and did 20 mins on the spin bike and lifted lower, abs/back. Now off for some fun in the sun:) 49:54/8:14 |

Spent the day in the ocean on the East side, found this cool beach over there and drove back through the mountains. So beautiful! I went out on the little path along the beach but this time when it ended I hooked onto the road and went into some neighborhoods and on a dirt path for a while and turned and came back the same way. A little tired. Today we are going to hike to some water falls and check out the big surf on the north side:) Aloha 51:48/8:20 We went on a super duper gorgeous hike to a water fall then went to the top and could see both sides of the island. Got super muddy, it had just rained. It looked like a tropical rain forest. The hike was 6 miles round trip, we were out for about 3.5 hours. This is why I would rather run a trail, I probably could have done it in an hour. But I really enjoyed being with my husband. Oh how I love this!!

Ran this morning along the beach and then up on the streets in Ko Olina. Was tired from the hike yesterday but managed to run the last mile in 7:03 but only because I wanted to catch some guy who thought he was faster than me. Then went and lifted lower/upper and abs/back. 57:48/8:15 I think we are going to head over to the North shore today. So we ended up going out for a kayaking trip, man is that hard in the ocean against the current. We went 1.5 miles out to this island called Mokulua islands. It was really pretty and very tiring I am so sore in the arms and traps. North shore is on for tomorrow.

Another 7 miles today, man was I tired. Hot and humid makes you sweat like a pig. 58:52/8:25 Went over to the North shore today, we liked this the best so far. We went to Haleiwa a little town with that old Hawaii charm. We ate at a place called Haleiwa eats the best food on the island. Recommended by Golden H. Actually we ate the best food all day over on this side of the island for dinner we went to blue water steak and shrimp, a RV park on the side of the road and then after we went to Ted's bakery and got some haipu pie very tasty. We did some shopping and then went to the Sunset Beach and watched the surfers. Stayed there most of the day and then went to another beach just up the road where you could actually swim. Huge monster waves over on this side of the island. I think we will go back over to the North side again tomorrow, we quite liked it.

| I am really, really hesitant to make any goals. Which is really weird for me, it has been a while where I just fly by the seat of my pants. But this week I would like to get up into the 40's for mileage (just running and still get in some cross training). Met with Mckenzie in SF and we ran. We were both tired and when we would stop we would just sit and chat not really excited to get going again. We did this a couple of times. Got up to some chilly temps. ran an easy 5 and rode my bike for 20 mins. Sciatic/SI fells a lot better. It was really sore on sat. but I had my hubby put his knee in the hammy and glute and did some scraping and it felt better the next day. |

Got and met at Marie's house and ran with the gang. Haven't ran with them for a while, Marie and Julie just did Boson and has a great time as well as ran great times. Marie, Melody and Becca just ran 4 miles and me and Julie added on after. It is so much easier to run a faster pace with people. Had a good run. | Up early again this morning to meet Luz. I really love running in the morning I am just not use to it. But it was a beautiful morning. I really enjoy running with Luz and bringing my dog down to run along the river. This morning my dog got in a little accident that about scared me to death. Right along the lake, on the other side they have a barbed wire fence to keep in cows and horses. Luz's dogs are used to going under this fence but mine is not. He jumped over just fine but trying to jump back is about twice as high because of the hill on the other side. He got caught up in the wire and did this back flop thing. I thought he was about to hang himself. I was a little hysterical, but he was fine except for a cut on his hind leg. I had to show him how to get under the fence because he didn't want anything to do with it. I don't think he will try that again. 1:12:44/8:49 |
