Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 21, 13, and 7 and a dog named Koda.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running.

Took my dog up in the trails for 4 miles it was slow but great.  The hammy felt pretty good as well.  Came home and did 20 mins on the elliptical.

Started with the elliptical at home, legs were sore and tired form running in the hills yesterday.  I then took my dog out because I just could NOT resist the sunshine.  I was just going to go 2 but the hamstring and adductor felt good so I went another.   Then finished with abs/back and stretching.

Once again I was going to take today off running but that wonderful sun was out calling my name.  So I put on the old running shoes and went down to will's and ran on the jogging path.  Leg feels good, not 100% but lots better.  Then after running I went to the pool and pool ran for 45 mins.

Just under 30 mins for the run not as bad as I thought I would be.

45 mins on the elliptical at home, was tired.  Went to Dr. Brady and had the leg worked on again.

Took my dog down to the jogging path and ran 4 miles.  Leg was a little sore from being worked on yesterday but felt good.  Legs are getting use to this running thing, they are not as sore as they were at the beginning of the week.  Then I came home and did 20 mins on the elliptical. Abs/back and icing the hammy

Started the day early, I am not use to that anymore.  When my alarm went off at 5:45 I couldn't figure out why I set my alarm.  But quickly remembered I was meeting Michelle for a bike run combo:)  I went and pick up my sis and she was have tire issue, but I told her to just bring it and we will change her tire after we run.  Well her tube was impossible to get off and we broke her tool that helps her get it off.  So she wasn't able to go on the bike ride with Michelle and myself.

We started with the run I didn't want to go anymore than 3 miles.  My hips are sore from getting used to the pounding.  Then we hopped on the bikes for an hour plus ride, it was great.  I thought I would freeze but only my feet got cold.  Had a good ride.  

Did yoga with Ericka when I got home.

Ran outside by myself this morning around 9 am.  Was a little sluggish but leg felt good.  Then came home and ate and did 30 mins on the elliptical and stretched.

Was going to get up and run (my daughter has pneumonia so that is my only option) but the weather was bad so I didn't.  I am a wuss I know.  I did the elliptical at home for 30 mins and biked for 25.  Leg is feeling good.  I might get a little run in later when my husband get home.  But not to worried about it.

I ran 5 whole miles, wow that seems far;)  Felt pretty good, leg are still in shape my breathing just needs to catch up.  I ran below an 8 min pace for 2 miles and was breathing so heavy but the legs felt like they could go faster.  Then I came home and did 15 mins on the elliptical.

Ran outside in the wonderful sunshine.   Was cool out but felt good once I got going.  Leg is feeling good and I felt good today too.  Had an avg. pace of 8:30.  Came home and biked for 25 mins.

Ran on the Tm for 35 mins which was dreadfully boring.  Then did the elliptical for 20 mins and pool ran for 30 mins.  Pool running felt good and I went hard most of the time.  Calves are tight.

Met with Michelle in SF for another bike/run combo.  Ran 4.5 and then biked for about 43 mins. it was super cold on the bike so we just turn around early.  Felt good, Right side is tight.  Went from my left to the right.

Another beautiful day!  I started on the elliptical for 35 mins and then went and ran on the jogging path for 5 miles.  Felt pretty good.  Then went and lifted lower and abs/back.

Ran today form the rec, I was going to run on the tm but the weather was to good for that.  I did a loop form there and then was going to pool ran but forgot my running belt so I swam 7 laps.  Swimming felt great.

Went to the chiro and got a massage yesterday,  feel beat up.  Day off running, went to the pool and swam for 6 laps and pool ran for 45 mins.  Then lifted lower and upper, abs/back.

I really wanted to run outside but I stuck to my guns of taking the day off.

I was feeling a little discouraged last night, left SI was just throbbing and both shins are sore.  I am just so sick of hurting.  So this makes me mad at my orthotics, this is why I didn't want them.  Every time I get them they seem to make my problem areas worse!  So I don't know what I should do, I have been using them sense Nov. so you would think my body would be use to them and I am really not running that many miles.  I just don't know??

I met Ericka and my dog today for a nice little run.  We started together and ran the first mile and a half then I pulled ahead.  I turned after 3 miles, was tired on the way up but felt better on the way back.  Then we came to my house and did some yoga and I finished with 40 mins on the elliptical.  Know I am icing shins and SI.

Went to the gym and started with 30 mins of pool running at an intense pace.  Then I swam for 15 mins and finished with 5.5 on the TM.  I want spring back.

PM-30 mins on the elliptical.  I was feeling a little pudgy so I wanted another workout.  I still have the weight on that I gained when I was pregnant for that 10 weeks.  It just wants to say around.  And I am telling it that it needs to go.

Met at Sasha's house and ran with Carolyn form Co.  we had a good run and a nice chat.  Came home and did 30 mins on the bike. 

8:45 avg. pace.  was tired form the 2 workouts yesterday.

yoga and abs/back

My inside of my shins are killing me, again I blame it on the orthotics.  This seems to happen after wearing them for a while.  I went and bought some moldable inserts from soft sole and I am going to use those for a while and then transition to nothing and then maybe transition to 5 fingers.

I scraped my calves last night as well as my upper legs.  And I didn't run with my orthotics this morning my back and calves don't hurt as much.  In fact my back feels better than it has in a while.  I wore the soft sole inserts.  I met Carolyn again at Sasha's house.  My intensions where to run easier than yesterday but we ended up with an avg pace of 8:33.  I brought my dog and he wanted to run faster than me the whole time.  Later I went to the gym and pool ran for 50 mins and swam 5 laps.  Then lifted lower and back.

Got up and met with Luz down at her house.  It was a blizzard!  We ran anyway and it did calm down after a while.   I brought my dog and again he wanted to go faster than the both of us.  Came home and did the elliptical for 15 m and the bike for 15 min.  Abs/back

I was going to take today off but my husband is going camping so I did my "long" run today.   I have not run this far in a while and it felt sooooo good.  Back and shins are doing better since I took out the orthotics.  I was tired starting up the jogging path and it took me about 3 miles to feel good, but I did feel good on the way down the canyon and I wanted to do 10 but thought I would not be a good idea to go from 6 to 10 mile.  But soon I think.

Didn't do anything else I thought this was enough.

Slept in and just did stuff at home today.  30 mins on the bike and 20 mins on the elliptical.

Weight is finally starting to drop. I was beginning to think there was something wrong with me, oh wait I am getting old and weight is  harder to take off:(  But I am happy to be below 130, weighted in at 128.
