Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Josee - I would start even with lesser mileage and a much slower pace - 3 at 9:30 - 10:00, then cross train for the balance to keep the aerobic fitness. When you have been injured, and then start to run, you will have the drive to go a lot faster than what your muscles can handle. Find a slower training partner that struggles at anything faster than 9:30, and make sure she stays conversational.

Man, I bet I could slow you down... Too bad you live so far away (I'm in AZ). I wish I could help out. Good luck in your running, Josse, you are AWESOME!

Wow, I bet your really fast when you get back 100%. Do you know anything about massage technics that will help out with hip bursitis? I'm struggling with this and would love any suggestions that you might have. I am an RN and have tried all the "Medical" treatments with a little success but am sure there has to be something else out there!

Bursitis is a tricky one because it is in the hip but there is a technique that I have been getting dune on my hip and calf for my injuries that has helped me a great deal it is called astym or the chinese call it gua sha or scrapping, but this may help. I get it dune by my PT.
