1st place overall womans in Spanish fork 1/2 marathon, Tristate 1/2 marathon, Death Valley 1/2 marathon, and the Utah Valley marathon (4-12-08)

Run a sub 3 hour marathon and have a blast doing it.

Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

The weather was awful so I went to the OFC and ran on the treadmill then lifted upper, abs/back.  Leg felt pretty good, pace felt really comfortable.

I so thought my knee was going to feel great today, I was so wrong. Infact it hurts a little more now that I am home. It is the bending motion like going down my stairs. None of my legs muscles hurt. I know you said that I would probley need it scrapped again, do you still think that is the problem?

Good job on the treadmill! boring hu, but better than nothing.

The knees are tricky, we could try scrapping them again. If it continues or get worse I would go see a sport doctor or sports PT. just to make sure there isn't anything seriously wrong with them.

My leg still has some green mark all over it. How soon can it be scrapped again? Tonight it still hurts to go down the stairs. I am more nervous tonight that I need to stop running or go to the doc, but don't want to do either. Someone telling me to stop something makes it even harder to stop.

I really don't want to bother you either. You seem like the kind of person who would do anything for anyone no matter how busy you are!

You are not bothering me. You can scrape everyday if you can handle it. But usually when you are injured you can only handle it about evey 2-3 days.

When I injured my knees last year I just went to the PT for piece of mind. I would maybe just crosstrain for a couple of days and do a high dose antinflamitory for a couple of days (800 mg every 4 hours for 3-4 days) plus do ice 6 mins and then heat 5-6 mins a couple of times a day and see if that helps at all. If this does help it is probably just an inflamation problem. We can also scrape them again to see if it help. Usually it takes a couple of times.

K do I ice the front or the back of my knee? What cross training is the best to do? Should I be lifting legs weights still as well?

Let me know if there is a good time for me to come over and hve you scrap me again. I just have to be home between 2:30 and 3:30 for my girls when they get home from school. And before that I would have all my other kids and after 5 Matt can watch them. So what ever you think or what ever works for you.

Ice where the pain is, if it is both then ice both. Today is crazy but the rest of the week I don't have much going on so when ever just call and we can plan a time.
