I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Started the day by myself early. Ran loops around timp. park before I met with Cheryl and Bruce. They decided to drive up to canyon Glen and start the warm up becuase time was shorter than we wanted. Warmed up 5.4 for me to the bottom of south fork and started a 6 mile tempo down the canyon.

1-6:49 wanted an easy start and this felt good, lost Cheryl at the end of this mile

2-6:28 with Bruce but he starts to pull away at the end of this mile but this is as fast as I want to go.

3-6:29 Bruce took a bad fall in this mile so I was able to catch up, he poped right back up and keep going even know he was bleeding everywhere.

4-6:27

5-6:48 Bruce agains pulls away at the end of this mile and I just try and stay close.

6-6:41 Last miles was tough and low back was bugging me at the end but happy with the turn out. 39:44 for the tempo

Came home and took the dog out for 2.7 to finish up my 15 miles.

You make your runs sound so glamorous, Josse. Though, you shouldn't have tripped Bruce, that was mean :) I look forward to running vicariously through you at SGM in a few days, you're going to do great!

Nice, fast miles! Your still cranking them out. What kind of taper are you planning the next 2 weeks?

From josse on Fri, Sep 19, 2008 at 19:48:32

This week I'll hit 60, then I think I will do 45-50 the week before and 20-25 the week of not including the marathon. But still do some fast stuff.

Taper time is sharpening time so shorter faster repeats, but also time to be careful and not injure yourself. But when in doubt do less these last couple of weeks. Hope training is going well.

You are incredible. I aspire to be like you some day. Hey, I also wanted to tell you thank you for the information about my diaphram (okay, this may be a little too much info for the FRB). Ever since you told me that, I have been doing what you told me and it is really really helping. Thank you so much! One of these days, I am going to run as much as you and Michelle and then I am going to have to hire you on a full time basis to keep me healthy!*!&! Just keep dreaming Kellie, Just keep dreaming!!!

Good job today!!

Josse, I thought of asking you but I hate to put people out. But if you are willing to help that would be great. What time next week is convienient for you?

From MichelleL on Sat, Sep 20, 2008 at 11:37:12

Great job Josse. I read half of this yesterday but got distracted. I only did 3.87 of tempo today, so you've got me beat on the quality. I agree, it's just mean to trip an opponent ;)

From josse on Sat, Sep 20, 2008 at 13:53:54

He was ahead of me so I would have had to use my super powers to trip him.
