Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

So I decided to take my own advice and take the day off.  I have a little twinge that has been coming and going the last couple of weeks in my left adductor.  I have been keeping at bay with alot of scrapping.  But thought how silly I would be telling everyone else to listen to their bodies and I didn't heed my own warnings.   Man it is easy to dish it but hard to do it.  I will probably get on my bike latter but no pressure.

35 mins on the bike

You could always have a relaxed swim, or aqua jog. Then enjoy the hot tub a little longer than usual. Hope you feel better soon.

That is silly...but very normal. We love to nurture others..especially you are good at that. Good girl for listening to you and taking care of yourself.

I do the same thing, I can give good advice but I very seldom listen to my own advice!

Take it easy...

Your advice was well taken. I'm taking the next few days of. Good chose you made today.

I guess the way we have to look at it is rest does benefit the body, and if your hurting it doesn't really make a training day very productive if you do run, because you can't really train to your full potential. That's what I've learned.

Its always hard to take your own advice! Hope it feels normal for you soon. Why cant our bodies just comply with our craziness!
