Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Left ankle was pretty sore after the race.  Iced it all day, feels better today but still questionalbe.  I kind of knew it was going to be this way after the race and told myself on the way home that if this is the end for the year I have had a great year.  I had a pr in the half and the marathon, which I haven't had in 7 years.  I have meet alot of great people and have had some great training runs.  So if SG is out I will be ok with it, of course I hope it is not but I can't contoll if my ankle is going to be injured or not.  Watched the mens marathon last night and scraped the ankle and calves.

I will take it by ear this week and probably do alot of crosstraining.  We will see....

I am SO sorry about the ankle:( Maybe it needs a Dr Brady visit tomorrow? Gosh- I sure wish we could chose our injury times- like never, but why not on a training run two weeks after the big race you've been working toward forever!!! Oh well- I bet your ankle just needed a good beating last night with the scraper tool and it will be right as rain very soon, like tomorrow!!! :D

I am seeing Dr. Brady on Wed., I don't know why your bodies do the things they do but I have learned they come at times we don't want them to. I have been through this enough to know that they come and go and we allways come back stronger and more determind than before. I think with a good attitude things heal faster. I have faith that things will be ok I just have to listen and be patient. If that means time off I will do it, even know I don't want to.

You are so SMART- that's why I call you Dr. Josse :D I am glad you get to see Dr Brady soon. You are right about everything in your comment above, as much as injury is a HUGE BUMMER, you learn so much and really grow from each instance. Good luck and I hope you aren't in too much pain! :D Have a GREAT day :)

Hope the ankle turns out to be alright. You have a great attitude. I'm going to follow the example you are setting and look at things in a more positive light.

You sure ran a great race yesterday! Clearly the haircut put you over the top :) I'm with you on the 'your body's in charge, and gonna show you who's the boss.' You've trained so hard this summer, and have given a number of amazing performances. You're a great example and inspiration to all of us. Give yourelf time to heal. Somehow I don't think it's over for you yet this year. We've still got a few weeks yet till SGM...One day at a time.
