Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

I felt great all day yesterday.  Some soreness in the knees and quads but not like I just ran a marathon sore.  I did scrape the legs this morning and they are not as sore.  Wow I still am soaking up yesterdays run.  It was such a great accomplishment for me, I had to work so hard to catch MacK she put up a good fight.  I think the best thing of all though was that my husband and kids were there at the finish and saw me win (they haven't seen me finish a race for a long time and my son has never seen me finish.)   My daughter was so proud.

As for running I will just see how I feel but easy miles and not as many as last week.

Still so impressed with the win! And on a "training run" none the less. HEHEH. That must be such an awesome feeling winning something like that. I won two 5ks once but it doesn't count because there were only like forty runners haha. Your win has given me a rejuvenated sense of commitment to getting fit and winning another race, even if I have to wait decades to do it. I will win a race again!

Josse, what does it mean to scrape the legs?

Just curious:-)

From josse on Sun, Apr 13, 2008 at 21:58:18

I use a Gua sha tool and it helps get out lactic acid, increases circulation, and break up any scar tissue that is the legs. You can check out the tool at www.guashaorthopedic.com you can also google aystm, gua sha, or graston to get info on this. http://www.grastontechnique.com/ this website also has good info.

Well, way to go Josse! That's so cool that you won the race and all the prizes. I bet those memories will stick with you for quite a while!

Glad you are still glowing from your victory- hope it lasts for a month or longer! Do you have any pics from the race you can post?

From josse on Mon, Apr 14, 2008 at 12:32:05

Ya but I don't know how to post them on my page I have tried and it never works. Maybe I will post them on my quilt blog.
