Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

I didn't get up and run because my husband left early and I didn't want to get up at 4:30 to run sleep is so much more important rught now.  But I also had to do visiting teaching while my son was in preschool.  So I thought I would run after I got done and then finish up with him in the jogger.  When I got done with VT it was poring rain so I drove to his school and had 28 mins to get some running in so I just tried to get as much in during that time, I didn't think I would be able to take my son out because of the weather.  But by the time I got home and feed him lunch it was sunny so I went out for some more.

I got in 3.65 miles in the 28 mins and then a slow 3.4 in 32 mins.

Great mileage in 28 min and in the rain! Sleep is important - great job!

Sounds like a great day to me - running after the rain, it must've smelled sooooo good! Less than 2 weeks till St. George, are you doing anything else different as you get closer to the race, besides tapering? Watching your diet more, increasing your protein/carb intake, sleeping more, stretching more?

I don't change my diet, I eat really good at all times. I have learned that if you do it can effect you negitivly like stop you up or stuff like that. I do try to get more sleep and have been very successful at that. I always stretch and just make sure I don't slack on that. I do try to do some shorter faster stuff durning the taper.
