Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Had a great workout today.  Met Michell, Mer, and James at the finish of the hobble course then we drove to about the half way point and ran up to the start.  Used the facilities there and went alittle bit more up then turned and ran to the start again.  There we started a 3 mile tempo, my goal pace was 6:30.  I was pretty much on my own after this, James and Michelle where up ahead and Mer was behind.  Then I did a miles easier and then another 3 mile tempo follow by another easy mile then a 2 mile tempo.

1st set (miles 1-3 of the course)- 1-6:20, 2-6:17, 3-6:13  total time 18:50

rest mile 7:13

2nd set  (miles 5-8) 1-6:26, 2-6:23, 3-6:45 (climb out the golf course)  total time 19:34

rest mile 7:41

3rd set (miles 9-10) was tired on this one and it shows  1-7:02, 2-6:50 total time 13:52

2:33:39 for the whole run

ice bath

Great job on your Big Workout! I think today is one of our key workouts for the year. And so nice to "sleep in" today!

Woot! Way to go Josse! You kicked butt! Do you like ice baths? I've never done one before. Soaked my feet in ice water a couple times but just not my thing. Then again I don't really run, I more of jog with energy :). Super duper workout!

I love doing ice baths, it helps so much with recovery. I wish I had a whirlpool like we had in collage. They get super cold. But I also love sitting in the hot tub.

Thanks Michelle you did great yourself.

Great Job Josse! You had some awesome miles splits in there! Keep it up. You are going to smash 1:30 this next weekend.

Josse, very nice workout, were your first two tempos at your goal race pace for saturday? Mile 10 to the finish is a grinder, good luck saturday. My prediction: 1:27:40 for you, book it. Thanks for the course info, I am leaning towards not running a step the rest of the year and just try and get my knee stable. I will be rooting Slyvie and the rest of the bloggers, I now know how to work the camera, hopefully I will get better pictures this time.

Brent my goal pace was 6:30's, I was suprised I was able to go under that because I have not felt that great lately. I will be watching for your cheers:)
