Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Got really aggressive with the scraping the ankle yesterday, didn't really feel it today:)  I have been really tired this week, need more sleep but it is just not happening.  This really affects my running so I need to try to get some more.

Got up and drove to will's and ran 2.5 before Luv came then we headed up the canyon 5 turned around for a 2 mile tempo.  Luz did much better than last week I got her going a 7:19 and 7:35, way to improve Luz.  Then we ran easy back to Will's.  Nice recovery run.  Then I came home and took my son, he was riding his scooter around the neighborhood for a mile.

How do you get more sleep? Drugs? ;) I'm sorry about your ankle! :(

From MichelleL on Wed, Jul 16, 2008 at 11:18:07

Drugs work for me! Got 8 hours last night. And not groggy in the morning either.

So glad your ankle is feeling better.

From josse on Wed, Jul 16, 2008 at 11:18:33

No, no drugs just maybe a week away from the kids;)

From marion on Wed, Jul 16, 2008 at 11:39:30

I'm going to girls camp next week, does that count? I think kids suck our sleep away. It's a good thing they are co cute and wonderful!

From josse on Wed, Jul 16, 2008 at 13:45:18

MMMM I don't think so Marion, I wouldn't consider taking care of a bunch of teenagers that aren't your own, while camping, a very good

break:-0 I think I would sneak off and but a ticket to Hawaii and say you are going to girls camp;)

I don't have a problem sleeping, it just getting to bed early enough to get the amount I need, because I am getting up so early every day.

From marion on Wed, Jul 16, 2008 at 14:14:35

The "early to bed" thing can be a bit difficult :(

Confession time- Two of the girls are mine :D and we are staying in my friends house in Capitol Reef, real beds, hot showers, cable TV, air conditioning, washers, dryers and a real life kitchen. The girls are doing all the cooking and my husband is coming as the member of the bishopric. We get our own room upstairs away from the girls :) Hopefully I will be healed and can run around Capital Reef next week.

Where do I sign up to go to your girls camp?

From sarah on Wed, Jul 16, 2008 at 16:36:54

You'll catch up next week after you get that quilt done...how's it going?

From marion on Wed, Jul 16, 2008 at 16:42:43

I can't believe I didn't take a look at your quilt you are working on! I LOVE quilts! I love making them too- well piecing them- I HATE quilting!!! My quilting looks like BAD basting :)

You are very welcome to come to camp with us. You could even bring the quilt and set it up on the HUGE enclosed porch ;)

From josse on Wed, Jul 16, 2008 at 17:05:49

Quilt is almost done, I will put a picture of on my blog when I am done.

From sarah on Wed, Jul 16, 2008 at 17:18:42

I can't wait to see it.

I haven't completely made up my mind about quilting...I really love all of it but I think my favorite part is actually hand quilting it...so you could put them together for me Marion and I'd sew em up for you.

From josse on Wed, Jul 16, 2008 at 17:25:44

I love the whole process. Picking the fabric, cutting it out (probably my least fav.), sewing it together, and quilting it (although I usually machine quilt but I do enjoy hand quilting details). I love when it is finished, each qult has little piece of me left in it, sometimes in blood;) And I can give it to someone who I know is going to appriecate it.

From marion on Wed, Jul 16, 2008 at 17:27:26

That sounds like a great plan! Isn't is great that God made us all different so the world could go around smoothly! (or at least the quilts could get done ;)

Where exactly did you start the tempo? Did you use the triangle marks or the GPS for the distance?
