Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Day 3, final day yaaaaaa!!!  Last night I didn't want to do this any more but I kept telling myself you have made it this far just one more day.   Man time has never gone so slow.  I think the worst thing is making food for my family.  Last night my husband made brownies and the smell was killing me.  I did find this new kind of apple that is soooo good it is called Honey crisp.  It tastes just as is sounds.

Weight when started 126

Weight today 119 a little low for me, but I am sure it will come back on when I start eating normally.

Congrats on being on the final stretch. Day 3 is easy, other than drinking the olive oil. Even if the cleanse doesn't make you feel better, it is a good practice in building character. Too often we live to eat rather than eat to live.

This is definatly a test in endurance!! I think it will help my headaches and that is a big plus. My eating hasn't been as good scence the marathon and I think it will help me get back on track as well. This hasn't been that bad except I feel like I am starving myself. The hunger subside each day though. Thanks for the support.

Great dedication that really had to be tough. Your going to see the benefits for being motivated to do this.

From paul on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 12:45:53

Yeah, being hungry all the time stinks. I think I averaged something like 14 apples/day. I didn't lose very much weight.

From josse on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 13:25:53

The most I have been able to eat is 6-7 apple a day.

From MichelleL on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 20:47:43

I think I would likely eat 25 and upchuck 7 for a net of 18. Pure speculation though.

Good job Josse :)

Are you all doing some kind of crazy voodoo diet thing? Those aren't healthy for you. Hell I'm 175 lbs some days and I've learned to just embrace it. Unless you want to be like supermodel barbie skinny or something! You all are crazy !

From Brent on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 21:45:34

Josse, I have done the grape cleansing thing a couple of times, tough to do. I have never heard of an apple version?

Good luck, Stay Kool, hope your back it better, B of BS Rools out

Yeah for being done!!! Now what is the benefit of such a cleanse? I have never done one before.

I wonder if I can go on a Pizza Cleansing diet? Or Bagels.. Man I love bagels. I counted last week and had 21 bagels! hahaha

From Lybi on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 22:34:28

Oh my goodness! Congrats on surviving! Enjoy eating food again!

Wow, I hadn't read your blog for a while! Sorry about your back issues... hopefully you'll feel better soon!

I tried the lemonade cleansing diet - it's 10 days of home-made lemonade with maple syrup. Didn't lose too much weight but it's a weird mental feeling - started dreaming again and sleeping better... Never tried the apple version but maybe will soon! Your weight is so low! How tall are you Josse? Enjoy eating normal food again!

From josse on Tue, Nov 11, 2008 at 13:25:19

Benn this is a cleanse to get toxins out of the body not a diet. I would never do something like this long term. I am sure the wieght will come back quickly. I didn't do it to lose any wieght I did it to see if it would help my back. It seems like the stiffness is gone, but I haven't ran either so that probably helps. One big plus for me is my headaches are not as bad, in fact today it is hardly there.

Lucia- I tried that cleanse when I went to massage school only you mixed chyene pepper with it. I made it one day and got so sick. I think you where suppose to take the pepper in capsles instead of mixing it in you drink. My wieght should go back into the 120's soon. I am 5'6"

From Lucia on Tue, Nov 11, 2008 at 13:30:58

Yup, it's the same one Josse - and you're supposed to mix the cayenne pepper in the lemonade, that's right... I loved the drink!

Glad to hear your headaches are almost gone!
