Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 26, 18, &12and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Ran an out and back from my house down to the jogging path and back.   I want to go run a 5k today but my left hamstring was feeling tight so I didn't.  Plus my main goal right now is to build my milage.  My goals for the week was to run an 8 miler and hit at least 25 miles,  I got the 8 and I hit 30 miles (half way to 60).  My leg feel pretty good after my week, hamstring alittle tight but nothing to worry about.  Ankle felt fine also.

Next week I think I will go for a 10 mile long run and 30-35 miles total.

Light rain today it always seems like it rains the week after St. George Marathon.

I am glad your ankle is better Josse -- I do that all the time too! I tore the ligaments in my ankle when I was 17 and am always SO afraid I am going to do it again. Luckily, since I moved here I get to worry more about breaking my wrist or falling off a trail so I haven't worried as much about it ;-).

Good luck getting the mileage up there, your patience will pay off!

I would hold back on racing until the Thanksgiving 4 miler, and treat that one as a glorified tempo run. Start slow, then accelerate gradually if feeling good, if you want to kick at the end, start early and gradually ease into it.

Yep that was my plan, great mind think alike he he he
